I m really tempted to try this mod. But I need some help

Looking at the picture you cut across the line where lens meet the plastic (red arrows), right? But there is no glue there. Glue is between the plastic that is under the lens and the lens (yellow area). Where should I cut?




Also, don't you think it would be better to use this method? It seems much more easier to open and reseal, or is it a bad idea?
