  tpms fault
Posted by: badger64 - 28:th-Nov-2020, 22:29:28 - Forum: Astra-J/GTC Common Problems - Replies (2)

my tpms readings are no longer reading anywhere near accurate anymore, for some reason o/s/r and n/s/f are now reading under by about 6 psi, also this week on 2 mornings (cold) the dash warning light was on. i have set fronts at 37 psi and rears to 31 psi and checked them with a seperate digital gauge so no readings are correct, but dash says different, i have re-learnt the readings on display. has anyone else had this issue?

  Astra J - CD500 -> NAVI 950 Coding
Posted by: welshp - 27:th-Nov-2020, 13:34:14 - Forum: Astra-J/GTC - Replies (2)

Hi Guys, 1st post so please be gentle

Have a 2010 Astra J with a CD500 installed with NAV & DAB - Have just purchased a NAVI 950 to replace this and looking for someone that can recode the 950 to my car.

I'm based in Basingstoke and would prefer to drive somewhere rather than post the unit if I can, just less hassle tbh.

Does anyone know of someone offering this service in this vicinity?

Cheers,

Paul.

  CD400 power problem
Posted by: bigles - 24:th-Nov-2020, 15:33:40 - Forum: Electrical - Replies (6)

Hi all - I have a 2009 Astra 1.6 SE.  In the mornings, when the car has been unused overnight, when I switch the radio on it comes on and then goes through between 4 and 6 restarts.  The screen goes blank and the sound ceases each time, it comes on for about 5-10 seconds, goes off, and on again, etc.  Once it has gone through this cycle it stays on and is OK for the rest of the day.

I've looked on the web but can't find anything specific to this problem.  Any guidance before I start dismantling the centre console - I'm thinking a wiring harness problem (loose connection), maybe the car battery voltage is low first thing in the day (although I did check the voltage and was over 12.4 volts), a failure of the head unit such a main board breaking down?

Has anyone had similar problems or is there a known problem with these units.

My unit has bluetooth for the phone.

  Turbo failure common?
Posted by: Euroshopper - 19:th-Nov-2020, 16:33:33 - Forum: Astra-J/GTC - Replies (2)

Hello,

I had my car at service and they told me I had to change my turbo. Is this a common problem?

The fault codes was P0299 and P003A.

Is there any knows issues with the turbo on this car? It has only gone 75000 km / 46000 miles

Opel astra J, 2010, 1.3 CDTI.

Kind regards

  Attempted theft display
Posted by: inbox47 - 19:th-Nov-2020, 13:59:08 - Forum: Astra-J/GTC Common Problems - Replies (2)

On my Astra I keep getting notified of an attempted break in and can't reset this notification!
I also don't seem to have a working alarm.
Any ideas how I can get rid of this on my dash or even better how to fix the issues completely.
If there are any independent vauxhall techs in Torbay area please get in touch.
Thanks John

New Battery for Astra J 2013 reg 1.7 diesel
Posted by: Galway11 - 16:th-Nov-2020, 21:13:16 - Forum: Astra-J/GTC - Replies (6)

Hi
I bought a 13 reg Astra J  1.7 diesel 3 years ago & I need a new battery..
Is it a straight swap in & out or are there any nuances I need to know before I change? Alarm/door lock/anti theft etc etc

I dont know if my car has a stop start system because it never worked but would not surprise me if it had it?
Is there any way of know whether a car has stop/start system or not

cheers

Well I thought i would post some pics of my new Astra......new to me anyway.

after my last one met with a sad demise.

i got another Astra 2.0 SRI CDTI 2011

came as standard with CD500 Nav, DAB, Bluetooth and front and rear parking sensors in what I think is a nice colour.

have upgraded the Nav to a Navi900 and DAB+ and added reverse camera

next step was auto wipers and lights which is now complete although im not happy with the gel pad as its got some bubbles.

just awaiting led and i will do DPF light plus have some lights for doing footwell coming.

as I'm out of work at the moment that's where its stopping.......for now

the next stage after funds rebuilt up is rear electric windows
