  Alloy Wheel Size - Smaller
Posted by: traypaul - 30:th-Oct-2020, 22:42:01 - Forum: General Chat - Replies (1)

Hi all,

Sorry for the really stupid email but thought I'd ask a group of people who'll know more than me.

I purchased an Astra GTC Limited Edition for my wife which came as standard with the 20" wheels.

Unfortunately the road she takes to work is damaged with nasty pot holes and shes damaged her alloys.

I'm looking to get these sent in for repair but we going to put on a set of 18" alloys (can't go lower due to size of the brake kit fitted) but I'm unsure of the wheel setup.

The ones on the car are as follows from what I've found through Vauxhall:

[*]Alloy Wheel 20 inch - 5-Y-spoke
[*]Smart high-quality alloy wheel with 5-Y-spoke design and bi-colour finish.
[*]Fits tyre size 245/40 R 20 95W
[*]Dimensions: 8.5J x 20 ET 41
[*]Bolt pattern: 5 x 115

Anyone have an idea for an 18" wheel with regards to the setup as above.

Thanks to everyone who reads this message and / or replies

Greatly appreciated

  Glow Plugs 2.0 CDTI S/S
Posted by: Vx-Mad-G - 29:th-Oct-2020, 11:40:43 - Forum: Mechanical - Replies (9)

First of all, HOW MUCH !!!!!

My Astra has had the SVS message for a few months now, originally Cylinder #3, and now #4 also. I guess by not replacing the one first, the others are over compensating for the one thats down and has knocked out #4 also.

Anyway, typically with discounts at ECP they are around £11-£18 each.
OH NO.

This one is going to cost me £80 each !!

Really, for a blooming glow plug?

  VXR Brembo Brakes
Posted by: Bear - 28:th-Oct-2020, 19:35:55 - Forum: Retrofit Research - Replies (3)

Hi all,

I currently own a 1.4T SRI and the stopping power really isn't there. I was wondering how hard it would be to fit a set of VXR Brembo Calipers onto my car. I've found a set of Front Calipers on Ebay and they're reasonably priced. What else would be needed apart from the obvious of Calipers, Discs and pads?

Any help would be appreciated

As per the title really, does anyone know what the part number for a navi 650 screen surround is?

Would a surround with part number 13368988 fit?

Thanks

  Service Vehicle soon and Op-com
Posted by: Arkanggel10 - 22:nd-Oct-2020, 21:05:55 - Forum: Astra-J/GTC - Replies (3)

Hi all.

i've got on my dash the svs message, i took the car to a garage for a diagnose, and it came out with code P0672, glow plug on cilinder 2 faulty.

I ordered op-com, and when i read codes i got the same code (P0672) and 5 others.

can anyone tell me if the other codes are related to the faulty glow plug, or if they mean that more issues are going on?

thanks

  Android Head Unit Install Help
Posted by: cro55m - 22:nd-Oct-2020, 12:49:13 - Forum: Astra-J/GTC Technical - Replies (13)

Hi All,

I've managed to pick up a used Android unit for my Astra J, I've removed all the original equipment and read numerous threads on here and online regarding installation however I feel I'm missing something?

The unit I have seems to differ from all the other units and I can't find anything online regarding what I have.

The picture of the cable with the grey connector, I can't find anything that, that would connect too am I missing something that would split up the original big connector to then plug into my unit?

Any help and advice would be greatly appreciated or even better if there's anyone local to Blackpool who would be happy for me to pop round and I'll chip them something for their time?

Thanks
Mike

Astra J LED DRL Headlights Question
Posted by: Baz22 - 18:th-Oct-2020, 17:12:24 - Forum: Lighting - Replies (2)

Hi, newbie here.
I have an Astra J 2013 Ltd Ed which originally came with LED DRLs from factory (black insert headlights). This car had front end damage so both headlights smashed and I'm having trouble finding some for a decent price currently they're ~£120 per headlight in decent used condition. That's the least of my problems but need a solution, still have the Ltd Ed bumper to repair which is thermoset polyurethane.

I was wondering if I can fit black insert headlights with halogen DRLs and fit LED bulbs (as per the thread already on this forum) without any errors?

thanks in advance, and top forum btw.

changed both batteries
removed the neg lead for 1 hour with no success

have 3 codes 1 relates to fault with no 3 glow plug  2nd b2425-d which relates to drivers heated seat and 3rd u0020-00 low speed can bus not sure about that one
