Hi, I’m new to the forum, never really had to ask for help as everything’s on here but I have a problem I can’t find an answer to. I have a 2010 2.0D Astra J that won’t start when it’s cold. Initially I thought it was the battery and have replaced that. I then changed the glow relay and plugs and I’m still having trouble when it’s cold. It will start with easy start (I know I shouldn’t use it in a diesel) but after using that it will continue starting all day until the engine gets cold again. I took it to a mechanic before doing the plugs and he said fuel is getting to the engine and he was 100% the plugs needed changing. I did check them with a multimeter and they were fine but replaced them anyway. Any ideas?

hi guys,
So I'm a new member to this community here. Actually, I'm a new member to joining a forum about cars in general.
I've got an Astra GTC 1.4 (120) Ltd Edition,
I'm looking at possibly remapping her through Remapkings as suggested by a friend. The site has shown that it would go from 120 to 171, and torque from 200nm to 271 (priced at £234)
I was just wondering a few questions:
- If anyone has any experience remapping the 1.4 GTC, how did it go for you? Did you notice any problems?
- I read somewhere that the 1.4 GTC has an M32 gearbox and the upper limit for torque could be a problem. Now I'm not really savvy enough to know the techs of this so I was wondering if anyone could provide some input on that. Would 271nm be problematic?
- Lastly, bit of an odd question perhaps? Anyone who has the 20" rims from the Limited Edition - have you been able to compare this with smaller rims? Did you notice any difference, good/bad?
Sorry if any of those questions are quite newbie
Hope to speak to some folks soon!
Thanks (:

I have a 63 plate astra 1.7 cdti a17DTC
This car came to me as a non runner,
was told it ran ok but kept going into limp mode due to SCV, previous keeper attempted to replace injector after leak off snapped and started leaking.
they unscrewed the top of the injector?
anyway since i have replace the injector, SCV and fuel pressure sensor on the end of the rail. still wont start
i have no throttle response. it will start momentarily then shut itself off after clock sweep.
reoccurring codes:
P1297 FUEL PRESSURE REGULATOR NOT LEARNED - FAULTY FUNCTION - PERMANENT (CANNOT CLEAR)
P2452 DPF DIFFERENTIAL PRESSURE SENSOR - FAULTY FUNCTION PERMANENT
Codes read using DELPHI Diag. WRITE OPTION IS NOT AVAILABLE.
it doesnt run on spray either, before or after maf, so i am lost.
and direction would be great!
previously was getting over pressure reguralarly until parts replaced.

Hi, I've been looking at 3rd party armrests to fit to my Astra J 1.7 cdti on Ebay. Thinking about getting this one.
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Dual-Layer-Ca...3852044930
Has anyone bought an armrest for their Astra and can recommend one, or any to avoid ie the one in the link.
Thanks in advance
Ken.

Happy new year all
I’ve searched online but find contradicting answers. Does anyone know the official Vauxhall recommended intervals for the timing belt on a 64 plate BiTurbo and is it recommended to do the water pump at the same time on this engine?
Thanks
