Good idea... That's what I've done too. And all you need to do is open it like you normally would and then you sort of squeeze the sides of the box together and it will allow it to drop down further and be removed

Ill give that a go. Not sure where else to put the controller other than in there

That's the best place for it yeah... Basically just the two plastic sides that make up the walls of the compartment... I think it may just he one of them you have to squeeze actually... Basically need pulling ever so slightly inwards and then it let's the whole thing drop down

Yea I've done the same thing with my pedal box, you open the door and pull both sides inwards to release it

Somebody said it just pulls off but i cant get it out Hey yes, I have tried pushing and pulling and squeezing with no avail. I have purchased a replacement which has open ended hooks on the bootom which looks as if they just push onto a bar. But cannot get the old one off and don't want to break it. The reason for replacement is the spring on the catch has gone and the box just remains open and is awkward getting in and out of the car.. Any advice would be gratefully received for my 63 plate astra J.

When you open the pocket you need to pull the right side wall to the right and it'll come out then pull off from the bottom.
