Hi all,

Last night i was driving my GTC 1.4t down the dual carriageway after cruising for about 30miles, came up to a roundabout and went to accelerate up to speed... Next to no response from engine, car flashed up saying "Service Vehicle Soon" and takes forever to get up to any speed above 20mph. Dangerous for joining Dual Carriageway on my journey to work so i have had to change my route to compensate. 

Car can get up to speed (had it up to 70mph last night), but just takes an age to get there.

I got home, cleaned the air filter, the MAF, checked the oil (was low) and have topped up but car is still under performing.

I have done some Googling to little avail. 

I have ordered some oil, an oil filter and an OBD scanner to 'service' and check everything on the weekend but i was just wondering if any has experienced/heard of this before and had any suggestions?

Hi, I can't find any aftermarket parts online at all for my car.

It's the 200ps 1.6T version of the Astra J GTC, engine code A16SHT.

Can anybody tell me if an intercooler kit designed for the 180ps GTC, A16LET will fit the A16SHT?

Needs Help ASAP

had a problem since the summer where I have speed 3 on my wipers but not speeds 1&2 I have replaced the battery after being told by The AA the battery was knackered but this has not solved the problem

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Hi all,
I’ve not long had my 60 plate Astra 1.6 SRI, so still getting used to what’s ‘normal’.
The latest thing I’ve noticed is when pulling away at low revs and generally the noise from the engine with the bonnet open for example, is that it sounds like a diesel!
Coming from a silky smooth Civic 1.8 VTEC, this is very much a surprise.
Is this ‘normal’? It’s been serviced, new cam belt and MOT.

I am new to this forum and wondered if you could help me please?  My car failed its MOT on Friday due to needing a whole new exhaust.  My garage phoned around every motor factor in the area who did not have the part and eventually phoned Vauxhall who said that due to the GTC having a short run life, no after market parts were made.  Therefore the part needs to be ordered from Vauxhall direct, from Germany at a cost of over £800 and 3-5 working days.  Car is now out of MOT and cannot be driven as I assumed that a part would be sourced locally on the day or the next day at the very least.  When husband phoned Vauxhall to ask for part numbers they refused to give it to him as they knew he would try ebay.

This is really not on as they have effectively taken the choice away from the customer.  Any ideas on what the part numbers are and where I can source the whole exhaust system cheaper that Vauxhall?

Hi all. I'm considering getting my GTC 1.6T remapped for a bit of extra grunt and was wondering if there were any recommendations for somewhere in or around London? Also, I need to replace the discs and pads and was wondering if there are any reasonable upgrades that don't cost the earth? Thanks for any help or advice for both questions. Rog.

Hi all I have the standard radio in my gtc I used to use the usb socket to play my music and charge my phone the past few days it don’t won’t work I have tried using 2 different phones and 4 different wires and it does not work any more anyone either had the same problem or know why or a solution thanks

Hi, Does anyone know if the rear fuse box in an Astra J 2.0 S/S Elite 14 reg is coded to the car or could I just swap it for another one, thanks.

I think my Power Sounder /battery is defective,
It keeps triggering the audible alarm for no reason,

Any idea how to replace it and how much it costs ?
