Happy Christmas from sponsor Chris Knott
Posted by: ChrisKnottIns - 16:th-Dec-2019, 17:54:16 - Forum: Chris Knott Insurance - Replies (2)

Hi, I just wanted to wish you all a Happy Christmas and say "Thank you" to the members who have contacted us for a car insurance quote during 2019.

You've helped us beat our annual enquiry target and so many enthusiasts have saved money under our car clubs scheme as a result - we're genuinely grateful!

The year is not yet over and we'd love to quote you if you have car insurance that expires soon.

QUOTELINE: 0800 917 2274

We are enabling staff to take a break over Christmas, so you can see our amended opening hours here - Chris Knott's 2019 Christmas Opening Hours.

Thanks again and we look forward to serving you in 2020.

best,
Nick

  Corner light make
Posted by: sistem93 - 15:th-Dec-2019, 22:13:18 - Forum: Electrical - Replies (2)

Hello !

I have the 2015 Astra j NB 1.4 140 hp. I have no AFL headlights in my car. Halogen lighting. I want to make an application like the link I gave.
Using existing fog lamps I want to make steering-sensitive cornering lighting. For this purpose, the directional trigger cable for the headlamp cables I don't think so. I have it with the arduino kit to read the signal from the steering angle sensor and turn on the corresponding fog lamp I want to make a module that will allow. However, I do not know if the steering angle sensor is connected to the BCM or where it is connected. Many forums I searched but could not find. I need to know where the cable coming from the steering angle sensor goes, the position and the socket outlet find. BCM socket diagram if connected to BCM.

I am sorry for my English. I used a translation program.
Thank you in advance for your interest.

Hello! My tesla style screen arrived today and i plan to connect it over the weekend, the problem is it doesn't have an ECO button..i watched a video on youtube of a Russian guy wiring it to the Parktronics button(my Astra doesn't have that) and i am planning to do the same. But just to be sure where to connect the blue and where the black wire does anyone know the pin layout on the original Parktronics plug?

Never again forget to get a Chris Knott quote
Posted by: ChrisKnottIns - 2:nd-Dec-2019, 18:19:49 - Forum: Chris Knott Insurance - No Replies

POTENTIAL NEW CUSTOMERS: Tell us when you're going to want your next quote and we'll remember so you don't have to.

Hi, did you know there are two ways you can schedule a call back from us via our website?

We know some members forget to include Chris Knott when they're looking for car insurance quotes even though they fully intended to. We've fixed that for you with these two options:

On our brief web form you can log your renewal month with us NOW and we'll call you at the right time to offer a quote - then you don't have to remember to call us! Give us your renewal month now to put the ball in our court and guarantee that you'll get a CK quote when the time comes (even if it's 11 months away) - https://www.chrisknott.co.uk/CarQuote/?ref=renlog. Obviously, you don't need to do this if you're already insured with CK as we'll automatically invite your renewal about 21 days early.

You can also schedule a quote call back for any time in the next 3 days by using our web widget that pops up when you're on certain pages of our website such as https://www.chrisknott.co.uk/car_insurance.html. You'll be able to choose the day and the 15-minute time slot that suits you. You can also use it to trigger an instant call from us (well, within 27 secs or so). Great huh?

Please remember to mention this forum when you speak to us so we can make sure we quote you under our special car clubs/enthusiasts facility.

If you'd prefer to call us you can on 0800 917 2274.

best,
Nick

  GTC Thermostat and housing
Posted by: Eve26 - 22:nd-Nov-2019, 20:07:23 - Forum: Astra-J/GTC - No Replies

Hi guys

My car has a small coolant leak, the fan is on when I am driving (not overheating though) and the service car soon message has appeared on the dash.  The garage says its the thermostat and housing which I need, which I had worked out too after googling the issues.  I don't want to get fleeced by Vauxhall again after just shelling out £850 on an exhaust so looking to buy one from elsewhere.

Can you knowledgeable lot advise if this is what I a looking for?  I put my reg in and it says it fits my car (1.6 Turbo SRI)

Many thanks
