Welcome back to the VXOC FORUM.
Sorry for our lack of support over the last year but MYBB is back and so are we.
Let's get the forum buzzing again... (March 25, 2022)x
Does anyone know where the speedometer sensor is on my car? It's a 2.0 CDTI GTC 2012... I have a bouncing speedo and ABS/TC lights on. Not ideal with winter drawing in. Clearly all the problems are linked, but I can't seem to find a speed sensor on the box, unless the wheel speed sensor drives the speedo as well as work the ABS/TC?
I am from Romania and for first escuse me for bad english.
I found this forum searching solutions for my car problem, really it is not a problem but rather a desire, namely: I have a auxiliary heater instalations on my car(Eberspacher Hydronic)aftermarket for cold season. She start on dedicated clock monted on board at a predetermined time or manually by remote control alarm. In my case she is serialized on colant liquid with motor circuit(like in photo).
After start, auxiliary heater have a one wire and generate +12v on this when colant liquid arrived on up to 30°C. This wire is for start climate control for heat interior or defrost windshield.
Starting this thread in advance of making any changes to the car to show what it's like as it stands before I do anything to it.
I have a collection on ebay with the items I want to get for the car so just going to work through that as and when I can, at the minute it includes-
K&N panel filter
Number plate lights
Tinited side repeaters
Heko wind deflectors
But I want to change or wrap the wheels, possibly lower it, get a remap, pedal box, hid's and I'm sure il think of more things I want to do.
My first modification however is going to be getting the back windows and the back lights tinted which is booked in for 10am Monday so I will update you all then once that is done!
I just picked up an GTC 2.0 CDTI 165 and was wanting to get it remapped, on paper the car goes from 165bhp to 350NM to 200bhp with 440NM which looks fantastic.
The worry I have is according to several online sources the gearbox is only rated for 400NM and I was wondering if anyone has been in a similar situation and could say if the gearbox held up okay?
I have had my car for a few months now and have always complained about the engine being noisy, but after having taken it to a local garage and main dealer both telling me there is nothing wrong i have just tried to accept the way it is. I have now done a few thousand miles and it is still the way it has always been. This morning however, i started the car from cold and all seemed ok, i went down the road and under load at low revs the car seemed noisier than usual, quite knocky and noticed the car was pushing out a lot of blue smoke!! This has not happened before. Once it was upto temperature it seemed ok with no blue smoke. Has anyone else had this problem? I have now got the car booked into the garage again :-(
