Just purchased today. Had to laugh the Salesman who i purchased from said the Astra doesnt have service booklets. Just said okay.
Why do they feel the need to lie?
Anyways, i know where it was serviced etc.... going to ring the dealers up and ask if they will give me a new book stamped up. Will have to pay but worth it.

Has anyone else had weird experience with the Auto Lights? My headlights seem to be on all the time regardless of whether its night time or bright sunshine at mid-day. I was under the impression that the DRL's would be the only lights to come on during the day and the dipped lights would come on when light dropped below a certain level, thats the way they work on my sons Renault. I'm sure they worked fine when i got the car. I noticed that the satnav display is also linked to them as it seems to be running constant in night mode, this isn't a problem really as i thing it looks nicer that way anyway.

Wondering if anyone can explain it like I am 5 why when I push TC off I get a bludgy-tyre with TC in it and a cross out. But there is also a drink-driver image just above it, and on the other dial a drink-driver image who is off that day?
Stupid questions I know, I think I know why but want to hear from others to validate or pretend that is what I thought all along.

Hi was wondering if anyone knows if the headlight leveling motors out my existing headlights will fit these aftermarket ones as the company said they would but I would have thought it would have been different wiring to to the motor feed coming from the headlight it self haven't look at my original ones yet as I need to change them due to driver side badly condensating was looking at these headlights.

Hi was wondering if anyone has had the engine out the astra as long story short I need a new clutch and water pump but I know it is a sub frame off job for gearbox removal but was thinking of just lifting out the engine and doing the clutch and timing belt and water pump etc that way. Was just to see if anyone has managed to lift it out without removing the sub frame and gearbox.

Hi All,
I recently brought an astra gtc 2013 and I have noticed the red light on the boot door on the passenger side of the boot gate only lights up when I open the boot and not when I turn on the lights. Is this normal or do I have a defective light?
will appreciate your help as this is my 1st car and i would like it to be running all in order.
Many thanks.
Luis.

Hi all,
I have service ESP message showing on the dashboard along with the ABS symbol and car with 2 lines underneath symbol. Borrowed and connected a Bosch KTS 200 diagnostic tool to it and it showed up as error code C0040 Wheel Speed sensor front right malfunction. Bought a new front sensor and fitted quite easily myself but I am no expert with the diagnostic tool. I think I cleared the error memory as the lights and ESP warning message went off but as soon as I gave the KTS 200 back the warnings return and the brakes feel like they are grinding again when used at very low speed. I take it that is the result of the ABS kicking in when not required? Seems fine at higher speeds. Question is do I try and clear the fault properly on the BOSCH diagnostic tool again or just bite the bullet and put it into the garage to do properly?
Any advice welcome :-)
Thanks
Mark
