  Debadged facelift grille
Posted by: cstevens92 - 31:st-Oct-2017, 21:05:12 - Forum: Astra-J/GTC - Replies (2)

Hi everyone, I’ve recently bought a 2014 Astra 2.0l elite and was wondering if there’s a way of debadging that front grille? Or replacing it for a debadged version? Thanks in advance!

  Great Parts Website

Sorry if this has been posted before, i came across this website in search for a VIN checking page http://ecat24.com
Youbasically put your cars VIN nu,ber in the box on the left hand side and it brings up every detail of your car. Where it was made, what year it is, what kit comes with it etc. Theres also a parts section that gives you all the part numbers for your car if needed. Handy.

  Navi and Eco question
Posted by: Breengin - 29:th-Oct-2017, 18:14:44 - Forum: Astra-J/GTC - Replies (8)

Hi guys, just new to the forum and new to a fancier Astra than before (G to H). I currently have the cd500 sat nav unit in my Astra, if i was going to upgrade what units would fit? Not looking at Android ones at the moment just a query.
Also with some models i notice that there is an Eco start/stop function, mine doesn't have that. Is there any way to fit/activate that? Cheers guys

Good afternoon guys, came across this forum the other day and I've not been away from it since tbh. Loads of great info and guides, i can see it being very valuable. I'm based in the west coast of Scotland and have owned a Mk1, Mk3 (blugh) a Mk4 and now a Mk6 Astra. My Mk4 is a 51 plate and still going strong, hopefully the Astra J will last as long. Cheers guys and will see you on the forum.

  GTC Front Road Spring Query
Posted by: ed-b - 28:th-Oct-2017, 19:06:15 - Forum: Astra-J/GTC - No Replies

Hi All, I have a 2016 GTC. I have been undersealing the inner front wings and noticed a piece of hardened rubber block that is attached to three of the coils. It pushes in to place and seems to hold three of the coils a set distance apart. Its the same on both front road springs. Has anyone come across this or know what purpose (if any) they serve ? Any advice would be gratefully received. I need to put the car back together tomorrow and am not sure if I should refit them. Many thanks, Ed

  Headlight Condensation
Posted by: sheppy1 - 26:th-Oct-2017, 22:01:06 - Forum: Astra-J/GTC - Replies (2)

Hey

Has anyone had any luck getting condensation out of headlights? I've had mine adapted with HIDs and Angel Eyes by rusty and he's done a damn good job sealing them but I've got condensation forming inside them!

I've drilled a small hole in the back of one of the bulb caps on each light to see if that helps and got some silica gel packs coming to stick in there too.

Anyone got any other advice for a long term fix.
