Hello everyone;
First of all, thank you for sharing knowledge about this car. Here I will explain how to connect the original Navi 600 microphone to
the Android radio car
1º Found the original micro.



2º. Check the micro color cables:

In this case one is blue and the other is brown-black.

3º. Goes to the original bt jack under the radio.


4º. Remove the original bt plug and look for the cables in step 2.
They are two pairs of blue and brown-black cables, check with a tester for electrical continuity to identify the correct ones.



5º With a male-male jack cable ,  I cutted in one side and the other  connect to the radio. Now with the cutted side, connect to the
black-brown and blue cables.


Now it's working the original microphone with the android radio.

Hello all, long time Vauxhall driver, first time Astra (it's been all about the Vectra for me until this forced upgrade to an estate for a dog )

Previous vehicles I've not bothered to mod much, just a bit of LED boot upgrades etc. and I once installed remote central locking on a rover 200. But I am no noob to the DIY route, well versed in micro electronics and"hacking" (I really dislike the use of that word in this context) so it will be interesting to see what I can come up with beyond what I have seen that will truly make my car mines.

I've had my J since mid-August. Haven't really had any issues until now. It's a 1.3 CDTI. I noticed a squeaking that was getting louder. I looked under the bonnet and it was one of the belts (not sure which) but it didn't quieten/get louder with acceleration. The squeaking has now died down and now I mainly hear a whirring from inside the car, as if the belt is struggling to go round. Just earlier on a short journey I heard three times, what I can only describe as a grinding sound, the same sound you get when you don't quite get the car into gear. It's random (possibly when I turn though) and doesn't happen when I change gear.

I'm a bit stuck, I need to take it to my mechanic but he's away for a week so I'm not sure what to do.

Recently we bought one of these:



It quickly became apparent that the Vectra-C hatchback and the Yaris hatchback where not cutting the mustard for this beast.

Therefore I decided that we needed to buy one of these:



On going to view a Passat estate, I spotted this well priced Astra Sports Tourer and quickly decided, this is the car for us.

So this is what we bought, in its completely no-mod state:








This car was bought for its function to transport a dog better, it was function over features and style but still really happy to have had parking sensors, auto lights, wipers and so on, unlike the Passat which was considerably more expensive & a  sluggish 1.6tdi

Reading posts here, I started to wonder all of what I had missed out, when I spotted some ambient lighting showing in a picture.

Whilst test driving, tried to find out if bluetooth was fitted. pressing "phone" just muted it, pressing config I did find an option for "BT AUDIO" in the menu but I dont think i was paying attention to the level-up display and following a proper pairing process. Either way, it was purchased with the thoughts that this was a car without factory fitted bluetooth and fitting one of the semi-crap android aftermarket units.

I have a significantly long list of adaptations I want to make to this car, from de-badging (including the griffin, which will be replaced with a fictional conglomerate badge instead (Our business is life itself) to getting decked out in a blue & green LED theme. dammit that rhymed!!

I love the half-leather trim, feels great whilst the cloth gives a familiar comfort that I prefer.

I already have a fitted boot mat on order, along with a bumper sill guard - I felt it was essential. Might not look great, but it will look better than dog paw scratches (the lazy git is a scrambler.) I am also picking up some genuine VX Astra J rubber mats tomorrow for the winter months, as I will have mucky wellies getting in and out.

A white SMD LED interior kit is on its way too, covering:

Front dome
Front reading x2
Rear dome x2
Glovebox
Boot light
sun visor x4

I know this goes against the blue & green theme I mention earlier, but these are function lights. IPC, switches, ambient, puddle lights etc. will all be going down the green/blue route.

The other progress threads here have made my head spin on some things, so a spreadsheet has been opened up, not least to track the various SMD LEDs I need to purchase as I would prefer to just spend the £30 in one go!

Long time viewer without registering...excited by the wealth of info and expertise on this site.

Vauxhall Owner since 2009 starting with Astra G 1.6 8V (03), Astra G 2.0 DTI Coupe (04), Astra H Design 1.9 CTDI (57) and now own a Astra J Elite 2.0 CDTI (10) for the past 2 years. Cover approx 24,000 miles per year commenting and the J is great workhorse. Had the usb fitted by ***** last year which was a great edition.

hi all, I had previously mentioned about the front delayed thump from brake. I've just noticed that when I brake the light is staying on even after my foot is off the pedal and then I hear the noise as if the caliper is releasing. I think maybe this means it is sticking. Would this be covered under the warranty? Also I've noticed there is no warning messages. My bulb went no message. My oil is at 47% life. No message when it got to 50. Also should I get a full oil flush now or wait till it's down a bit more. checked oil so it's still full. I realise that it's saying it needs fresh stuff.

Get this message every time I start the car. I know its not a service light but warning of a fault. It started middle of last week. Not done anything to the car and it drives and starts as it always has. I've used a OBD II Bluetooth reader with 2 different apps and got NO error codes at all. I've also tried another OBD II which has a hand held reader and got no error codes. Any ideas what could be happening. Also is there I simple error I could cause just to see if the 2 readers I've been using are working properly. Thanks in advance. 11plate, 1.7 diesel, Elite.
