Great ok!
This eBay one has no wiring loom. Is that a problem? If not I shall buy and let's get this rolling. :-)

Andy has all that mate.
Just check if you need to get the Nav Shark-fin. Astra-J 2.0 CDTI S/S

hi all
right everyone the retro fit for the navi600 is now a go go if anyone had bought any setups and wants them retro fitting then pls contact me and we sort out booking dates for the installation. i must point out again that when it comes down to the programming procedure then errors have to be expected but im confident these will be resolved. if any setups have been purchased then i can give any guidance as to what cabling is required and must be included when supplyig the setups. cheers.

tucpal Wrote:Very good to know the nav 600 can be done also very good work Andy top man yeah it was just the waiting to get an astra booked in for a retro fit which luckily was a gtc that had navi600 so i stripped it a little more
15:th-May-2014, 08:20:46
you have done some real good research in working the nav 500 and 600 out
so to all who said it could not be done yes it can it just needed the wright man,

tucpal Wrote:you have done some real good research in working the nav 500 and 600 out yeah definately, these particular retro fits do need time in research. i have an insignia booked in that i will be retro fitting the navi600 into in a few weeks that they have been told it wont work so until ive been proved wrong then i have faith that it work perfectly.
24:th-May-2014, 00:10:25
Will the insignia nav800 or nav 600 fit if so it's easier to source

Lush Lighting City Wrote:Will the insignia nav800 or nav 600 fit if so it's easier to source the radio unit and display wud fit but the control facia panel/surround and screen surround from an insignia wont be suitable as there larger. these would still have to be bought seperately so it fits into the astra.

hi all
just an update, the navi600 retro fit to an insignia has been delayed this has now been re scheduled for in a few weeks time,i do have customers queuing up for this retro fit but i just need to complete the first one. if anyone does have the navi600 setup and they want it doin asap then let me know and i get you booked in for the installation. cheers.

the nav600 is more upgraded than the nav500
but i am not too sure what the difference is really sure someone will tell you the differences.
15:th-Jun-2014, 15:52:15
only difference is the navi600 is sd card rather
than the the navi500 is cd driven.

Lewis6317 Wrote:Very interested mate, is it the same as you done for tucpal? Now im getting good money in i could do this in july or aug easy :-) paul had the navi500 fitted, you have an option to have the navi600 fitted and you have an sd card fitmr the navi instead of a cd like navi500 has.
15:th-Jun-2014, 17:17:06
I was going to ask can you have the radio/cd playing while using the sat nav as my VW is one only which bugs him.
also with the navi600 can't you add speed cams which I don't think you can with the navi500? Astra-J 2.0 CDTI S/S

Rusty2009 Wrote:I was going to ask can you have the radio/cd playing while using the sat nav as my VW is one only which bugs him. yes you can use the navi while you use the cd player, what you do it save the navi software from the cd to the head unit and then you can remove the navi cd and play cd's as normal.same applies with the dvd800 but with the navi600 you have a sd card for the navi which you dont remove and the cd player is free for the cd's not too sure on the speed cans for either of them

At the minute it's proving quite difficult GM have tightened up and getting codes for the navi is proving hard.
We thought we found a workaround but these leads to other issues no parking sensors steering wheel controls etc. Astra-J 2.0 CDTI S/S
