This is illuminated when the daytime running lights are on, if I switch the normal lights on it goes off, is this correct?

What do you mean? The orange light comes on when you turn the ignition on and then go after a few seconds

When the main lights are switched it it goes dimmer not off like I originally thought.

Oh ok. Have you deactivated the airbag? Check the switch on the edge of the dashboard as you open the drivers door. You need to put your key in it, push in and twist in the necessary direction

It states if the air bag is de activated then no passengers are permitted to occupy the front sear. |
