  Electric Window intermittent problem
Posted by: Stanhope - 19:th-Mar-2019, 14:11:48 - Forum: Astra-J/GTC - Replies (3)

Hi all
My passenger window has developed a fault on my GTC, sometimes it will work and sometimes it won't. It's the same with both door buttons but seems ok closing and opening from the key. When it does work the one touch closing wont work but it's all ok drivers side.
Any ideas before I shell out cash at the dealers?
Thanks

Astra J GTC (MAKE IT LOUDER PLS)
Posted by: Yellowgtc - 19:th-Mar-2019, 09:28:04 - Forum: Astra-J/GTC - No Replies

Hey guys

I am new to this so I hope I do not post in the wrong area etc!

I have a yellow astra J gtc sri - its a wonderful thing, quite nippy and it stands out. However being me, I want it to sound good.. Can someone please suggest what would be the easiest and cheapest way to do this for my gtc? I am not an exhaust expert and I not a dummy too lol (I wont drill a hole in my exhaust or any of that silly stuff)

So it would be great if someone could advise me with this

Hi,

If you'd like to get your hands on a Dashcam you'll enjoy this latest competition from Chris Knott Insurance.

PROVEN CAR INSURANCE SAVINGS
Designed specifically for car club members and enthusiasts, our car insurance facility currently saves drivers an average of £107 against their existing renewal quote elsewhere*. Maybe that's why we have an excellent TrustPilot score of 9.5/10.

If that's not enough to encourage you to call for a quote, in addition we're offering you free entry in our prize draw when you do.

THE PRIZE
For this first competition of 2019, we're offering a Nextbase Duo HD DashCam (with 32Gb Micro SD card) - worth over £200 - details at https://www.chrisknott.co.uk/rewards/das...e2019.html

HOW TO ENTER
Simply request a Chris Knott Car Insurance quote before close of play on 30th April and you'll gain automatic entry in our draw.

The only thing I did was when I started I didnt let the glow plugs light go out I was rushing.

Is this something going wrong or just a one off thanks.

  Seicane Android Head Units
Posted by: Apoc - 17:th-Mar-2019, 14:28:58 - Forum: Astra-J/GTC - Replies (3)

Hello!

Apologies if this is in the wrong area of the forum. I'm just getting acquainted!

I've recently become the owner of a 2012 Astra GTC which is fitted with the CD 400 stereo. I'm looking to install a navigation screen, and am looking to do this via replacing the existing head unit as I much prefer the appearance compared to having the screen lower down, personally - amongst retaining some functionality of the existing controls.

I'm looking at a Seicane unit (linked below), but was wondering if anybody has any experience of not only the unit itself, but purchasing from them? The product seems to look good, but the website doesn't fill me with confidence so I wanted to see if anybody else has experience of purchasing with them.

https://www.seicane.com/in-dash-android-...2-s127882e

Cheers!

Has anyone retrofitted a 12v power point to a 5 door Astra J which has an armrest? There is no cable for it and nothing tucked away. I have had a good look round the front power point.
