She’s on 18” wheels here wrapped wing mirrors, dechromed window trims

on poorly fitted coilovers. Looked like she was gonna do a front flip.

the black wheels were a nightmare to keep clean so it got sprayed smoked chrome.

it still didn’t feel right so I got Eibach Pro Kit lowering springs, 19” inch wheels, side skirts and projector headlamps with HIDs. The look I was going for, started to take shape. Wasn’t quite ok with the colour shift in the titanium colour wheels so I went for silver. Nothing beats silver.

She’s now been de-badged at the rear. Plasti dipped front grill with four coats of matte black and 3 coats of Glossifier. Rear diffuser has been Plasti dipped as well but in white to give it a more integrated look. Silver gators fitted. Griffin logo at the rear sprayed gloss black.

  Radar Sensor Cabling
Posted by: kebibg - 16:th-Apr-2019, 07:27:39 - Forum: Electrical - No Replies

Hi,
i buy one front radar sensor for my Insignia to implement it for AAC.
Part number of sensor module are 23438076. About cabling that i found is:
pin-1 - 12v Positive voltage - DRAW CURRENT - 900mA
pin-2 - GND Negative voltage
pin-5 - Circuit 6106 - White                   connected to pin-20-ABS
pin-6 - Circuit 6105 - BU/YE                  connected to pin-21-ABS
pin-7 - Circuit 2501 - WH - CAN L          connected to pin-6-ABS
pin-8 - Circuit 2500 - BU - CAN H          connected to pin-5-ABS
pin-10 - Circuit 5986 - WH/BU - IGN      connected to pin-33-ABS    -  +12DC / 3mA

The question is 12v Positive are is ALL time or switched?
Circuit 6106 is ??
Circuit 6105 is ??

Receptacle connector is 1488533-5 or 2203663-5. The first one is out of make.
I have a opel-eye in my car, have all needed buttons on steering wheel only this radar is missing and activation too

I attach specification for this sensor but cabling are for Range Rover.
The second file are connector. For this sensor fit Option A Black with 2 Notches in two ends.

Regards

  Flex ride retro-fit
Posted by: Rusty2009 - 15:th-Apr-2019, 08:56:50 - Forum: Retrofit Research - Replies (10)

Being working on this little retrofit for awhile now gathering the parts.

So I have the following parts.

Front shock's with springs, rear shocks, Front and rear sensors & the Flexride module.

I found it really hard to find the correct plug needed for the front strut extension harness, the only place that "stocked it" never had any stock and kept saying stock was coming in for months until I got shitty with them then they cancelled the order and refunded me.

I was able to finally find the plugs on ebay a little expensive as I had to buy the extension harness with them.

I did buy all the wire to make the loom myself but @Vocky had a loom which he sent me which meant I only needed to change the wire out to the engine bay.

The module both front and rear sensors are fitted & I've fitted the loom out to the engine bay so far.

I've made the 2 looms which run to the front sensors & my next looms to make is the 2 looms to the front shocks but I am awaiting some wire to arrive as I need to add the front wheel speed sensor wiring into them.

Then I plan on some ramp time to swap the shocks over.

Shocks and module

Flex ride main loom

Module fitted behind the Rear fuse-board

The 2 small looms for the front sensors made.

This retrofit also involves the fitment of EPB so here is the EPB loom made which has been fitted.

  Head repair weird air noise?
Posted by: trevorgetty@aol.com - 27:th-Mar-2019, 02:36:36 - Forum: Mechanical - Replies (5)

So my friend cooked his gtc 1.6 turbo and ive just stripped it got head skimmed and rebuilt with new gaskets.

The engine starts but soon after it starts to run a bit lumpy. I can rev is but hear a slight miss.

Now i am not sure why this air hole is in the rocker cover but i can clearly hear it sucking air in. And if i put my finger over it it sucks it in.
Can u tell me if this is normal please?.

I have included a picture of the vent and a video for reference. If u have any clues as to maybe i have some one way valve blocked from the mayo deposits from the hgf maybe?
I am not sure if the air and rough idle are related but any help is appreciated.
Ideas please. Thanks. T

Small addition to above. So if i remove the oil filler or the dipstick they both are under vacumn? Seems something is blocked i assume to create this vacumn. I am assuming the head is sealed or it would be blowing out not in. I cant see any water drop or further oil mixing with water but it is early days.

So i have removed the crankcase breather pipe. It is sucking like mad for some reason. If i remove it its sucking more air down this pipe than the air intake lol. Is there a one way valve like a pcv? I have read its meant to have a slight suck to remove gases and stop positive pressure spreading the gases out the filler cap or shooting the dipstick out but this is really strong.

Hi all,

I'm a recent owner of a 2016 GTC 1.6T LE - in red. Love the car and have been a Vx fan for years, having worked my way up from a Manta, through Carltons, Cavaliers and Omegas, and a Zafira at one point up to this GTC. I've had a couple of older GTCs in the past and haven't found much else comes close for the price!

I love the look of them, and the LE is well equipped, not keen on the fuel economy or the price of the 20" tyres, but I knew this wasn't a budget shopping car! Gearchange is a bit clonky sometimes as well, but I thought the same about my older Vectra 2.0 turbo so I guess its business as usual. I know the M32 box has a terrible reputation but I've got a bit of warranty on this car!
