Astra J 63 plate traction control
Posted by: Liam12345 - 22:nd-May-2019, 02:59:00 - Forum: Servicing - Replies (3)

Hi I have a Astra J Elite 63 plate, I turn off traction control and can rev to maximum in neutral, but if I put it in first gear, it only lets me rev to 3000rpm maximum, and if I turn off ESP as well, it only lets me rev to a maximum of 2500rpm. Does anyone know how to change this so I can have TC/ESP off and rev to max rpm? Thanks

  Rear brake pads and discs
Posted by: everson38 - 21:st-May-2019, 08:44:55 - Forum: Astra-J/GTC - Replies (4)

Hey Guys

I have an Astra GTC 62 plate 1.7 diesel.

I need to replace rear brake pads and discs. I'm looking on Euro car parts and there are two types of discs and pads. Is there anyway of knowing which pads and discs are correct short of measuring it all and buying numerous variations?

Thanks. Any help appreciated

Hi

I'm gertting a knocking noise from the front right. Think it could be the drop link.

When people swap them out do they use OEM parts or is there a more heavy duty one thats less likely to fail?

Thanks

  Stuttering
Posted by: DavidJarvis - 13:th-May-2019, 21:29:54 - Forum: Astra-J/GTC - Replies (1)

Hi all, First post. Got a 64 plate GTC 1.4t special edition. Cars only done 14,000 miles and I've only had it a few weeks. Yesterday was my first good run out in went down to Luton to fetch my lad from airport, Its about an 80 mile trip, Car was fine all the way down ranging from 80 ish to 50 in roadworks got stuck in traffic a few times so start stop, When i got to the airport and pulled in to pick him up in first gear it felt like it was stuttering and trying to stall, thought it was just me and turned engine off to load car. When i turned engine back on and pulled off it was the same in first gear and even into second, didn't really stop all the way home and all seemed fine, but when i pulled off motorway and stopped at lights same again in first gear like it was trying to stall, got home left car for a couple of hours and all seems fine again but only done a few small runs today, Anyone got any ideas? Cheers

  Roof console removal
Posted by: ed-b - 8:th-May-2019, 21:26:12 - Forum: Lighting - Replies (3)

Hi All

My 2016 GTC has developed an annoying rattle from behind the roof mounted light and switch console. If I'm mobile and the rattling starts, if I then press the console, the rattling stops. I suspect some loose wires are rattling against the inside of the console. So, the question is, is it possible to remove the console unit without damaging it. I've taken a close look and it looks like it press fits in to position but I don't want to attempt to remove it in case I damage it. Any help would be gratefully received. Many thanks in advance, Ed
