  Retrofit 12v sockets
Posted by: Rusty2009 - 11:th-Oct-2014, 21:28:30 - Forum: Retrofit Research - Replies (7)

Going to try and and retro fit a 12v socket in rear and also one in boot.

I have the wiring diagrams and the adding a rear will be easy adding the boot will take a little more time as the fuse it uses isn't used so getting pin out and wire gauge is annoying.

I got a couple of 12v sockets out of a pug 307 and 206 estate as they have cover on them.

nice bumper here but needs a paint and a pro to put it wright
but it would be worth buying just for the Steinmetz lower spoiler and a irmscher front grill that is on it.
but i would have the black bit painted all in one color

  Rear lights
Posted by: Rusty2009 - 10:th-Oct-2014, 16:55:30 - Forum: Astra-J/GTC - Replies (1)

Just been looking at the lights and it looks as though the fog light and reversing light only have a clear or red bit of plastic stuck behind the lens cover looks inter changeable.

Anybody else look at it and see what they think?

No need to remove the lights.

  Rear seat belt buckle
Posted by: Rusty2009 - 8:th-Oct-2014, 14:24:08 - Forum: Retrofit Research - Replies (12)

I'm going to retrofit the rear seat belt buckle with sensors,

I've ordered both the buckles cost £29.00 posted as opposed to £110+.

I have the wiring diagram just can't seem to locate the terminals for it so if anyone can help that would be good, even if you know what other Vauxhall car it's fitted and where it is I can go up the scrappy and get one.

  poor idling random
Posted by: ozzysastra - 8:th-Oct-2014, 10:46:14 - Forum: Astra-J/GTC Common Problems - Replies (19)

Hi all

Right, my astra 1.7cdti, had a problem with hunting/ rough idling cold so replaced the SCV and has stopped it, thing now is randomly it will idle rough when you stop, ie of a motor way up to traffic lights and run rough fora few min then settle.

It's done it once this morning when i got to the shops and it did it there as I parked, run rough and then settled.*

Not sure what it could be, thought the EGR valve maybe.

Any ideas welcome.

cheers simon
