Battery replacement - AGM or regular
Posted by: everson38 - 21:st-Jun-2021, 23:49:55 - Forum: Mechanical - Replies (1)

My battery is showing signs of needing a change as it is original Vauxhall AGM on my 62plate 1.7 Astra J GTC

My question is the replacement AGM batteries are quite expensive , can I go to regular flooded or will that cause me issues?

Thanks.

Running rough at specific Idle speed?
Posted by: everson38 - 20:th-Jun-2021, 21:30:30 - Forum: Mechanical - No Replies

Hey guys,

Noticed something alittle odd on my 1.7 Astra GTC 62 plate.

I was letting the car idle stationary and was hold the revs at certain ranged.to get the engine warmed up.

I noticed when the rev counter hit approx 1500rpm - 2000rpm I could feelnthe car shaking abit, but then below or above the rev range it would smooth out and be completely normal?

Any ideas on what it could be?

Thanks in advance.

Hi, needing help, I have changed from a cd500 to a navi950, I have a Astra j and the navi950 came from a Mokka so i have to use the buttons from the cd500, all is working fine including the dab+ module except for the controls they are wrong, 90% of the buttons do different actions. do i need to find a set of buttons from a Astra j or can the navi950 be reprogrammed to work with the cd500 buttons? Thanks

  Car Insurance - no gimmicks
Posted by: ChrisKnottIns - 14:th-Jun-2021, 15:09:22 - Forum: Chris Knott Insurance - No Replies

Hi,

No gimmicks or competitions this month, as we don't want you to lose sight of the real reason you should try us for your car insurance...

If you like a person-to-person service that also offers competitive quotes for car club members and enthusiasts, you should be talking to us.

You can call us FREE on 0800 917 2274 or complete brief contact details at the link and we'll aim to be your best option this year.

https://www.chrisknott.co.uk/carquote/?ref=191

Just a quick question to help us plan for our new website coming soon... We can't offer a full online quote service as our quotes are bespoke but if we made the quote form longer so we could gather the details we need to email/phone back with a quote would you prefer that to the short form where we have to call you for the remaining details? There'd still be an element of human contact so either of us can ask questions or seek clarity and we'll always be available by phone, just as now.

Let me know if you'd value it and use it. Thanks.

best,
Nick
