Single to dual horn upgrade retrofit
#1
In this How-to, you'll see how you can replace your dinky single horn with a Dual horn.
Without removing the front bumper.

It seems Vauxhall decided that it was a good idea to put single horns in on a randomly select few Astra J's, no one knows why!
Cause it sounds like a clown horn on big cars like these!
So lets fix this!

Part number for the horn:
GM 13409130 "HORN,ASSY.,400/500HZ"
(or look up Astra J horn on Ebay)

Step 1:
Jack up your car, lift it or drive on ramps. (Be careful with ramps as the front end is rather low.)

Step 2:
remove the left side (UK passenger) side fog light surround.

if you look in the newly made hole, you'll find the bracket that holds the horn in place!

step 3:
Removing that clown horn!

Reach in from underneath and disconnect the horn's electrical connection.
you can then undo the single bolt holding the horn in place.

Once that bolt is out, the horn can be pulled out from underneath the bumper.

Step 4:
putting in the better horn!

Slide the dual horn from underneath the bumper. You can then hold it in place and bolt it in place form the fog light hole!
Once it's all bolted in, connect the electrical connection. test it out!

step 5:
put the foglight surround back in by reversing the tutorial mentioned in step 2

That's it!

Now your fat Astra won't sound like a Corsa B, but like a Insignia instead!
