Door/console LEDs

Anyone know what type of leds are fitted in the door trim and centre console, as I'm being lazy and can't be bothered to remove the trim

I have blue in the rear so might try green or orange or something like that.

Think I've identified the gear surround leds as 4040 and door trim I think are 2828 both are very difficult to get hold if as there not common smd led

Not sure how you would de-solder them.

I've got access to very fine tip soldering irons if I can get new leds i'll give it a go

No mate goes in Monday for roof respray at dealer cost, stone chip warranty work and front bumper investigation. Getting a 1.6T GTC as a courtesy car

I received the 2 4040 leds for gear surround today, will fit it next week when I'm on late shift in work.

I need help identifying this LED I think it's a 3528 not a 2828

Nope I was wrong they were 3030.

I've found these.

3528 don't look the same though mate.

But they not 2828

The measurements of the above are 3mmx3.3mm measured with a vernier gauge. Looks like Vauxhall have used a odd size

Done some checks and the pins in the 4 corners are linked together and connected to the +ve legs the pin on the right is connected to -ve and the pin on left isn't connected to anything.

Mouser do the 4040 LED in red, green, yellow, blue, orange and they also list Grn 570nm 120mcd 120deg Water Clr

Manufacturer is Kingbright

Don't know if any of these are any good

Got some leds sorted done the gear surround these were 4040 90degree smd's one at each end.

The door leds I used a 3528 and modified the pcb so they would fit.

Also done my spare window switches using 805's

Will get a how-to together once I get my car back
