Hi Everyone
I could do with some advice to help with an issue that has just surfaced.
I started my Petrol GTC this morning (27/10/2018). The warning lights came on as normal and then all went our except for the Yellow Engine Warning Light. This light stayed on. The car seems fine to drive. It has done 13,010 miles, had a full service 4 months ago and has been sitting in the drive for the last 3 weeks doing nothing while I recover from an operation. The oil level is fine. I have checked and there doesn't appear to be any loose connections under the bonnet.
The Owners Manual suggests a fault in the Emission Control System. I tried the pedal test but it appears that Vauxhall don't support this in the series K astras. Has anyone else come across this and, if so, can you tell me what the likely causes are. Is it possible that the cars emission system has been adversely affected by me not doing many miles recently ?
All ideas would be gratefully received.
Many thanks in advance,
Ed
