How-to remove roof aerial

So start by opening the boot and removing the parcel shelf (this is so you don't lean on it and brake it.)

Next start to pull the roof liner down from the rubber.

Then you need to unplug the fraka connector (it will be attached roughly where you see it in this pic)

To unplug them you will need to feel for the push tab.

Then push the back end down and with the other hand pull apart.

Next job is unbolt the aerial.

It's a 10mm bolt on the factory masts.

Now you need to push the push tabs in each side and push upwards, (having an extra person here can help).

Hi,

I would like to change mast with shark fin on my J.
Do I need something else or just change them?

There are many different part numbers.
Three without 'phone' or 'gps' cable/option:
17 84 024
17 84 034
17 84 063

Which one is the right one?
I need it for the cd600.
Thanks.

Yes, I need for FM.
All three are wrong then?

In Opel shop told me I will have worse reception with shark.
They have no answer on my remark why some models have factory fitted shark. Smile

Anyway I decided to mount it.
I have searched in other posts but didn't found part nr. for genuine shark fin.

I think I can use it just leave gps and phone wires not connected.
Right?

What for just GPS ???? Fm and DAB are fitted on the rear window for how to do this look at DAB retro fit CD400 in the how to section that will cover how to fit FM to rear window so you can them have a dummy shark fin on the car but the factory shark fin will have no use as it is only used for satnav GPS.

There is not a factory fitted FM shark fin you would have to go aftermarket.

I will get the the links tomorrow.

If you pay the price the signal is better or same on the shark fin.

What fitting etc would you need for the Gps dab fm shark find aerial, is it really worth 150 quid, although I dont like the idea of a separate dab aerial and a GPS on the dash

Found this a lot cheaper, not as stylish but it does look oem I guess

The choice is yours mate I found with my DAB, FM/AM mast priced the same would drop out in places, yet my sharkfin doesn't drop out in the same places.

I would always recommend the sharkfin.

Good Tutorial Rusty, change my aerial for a Hama  Dab/Dab+ FM/AM aerial which works quite well, no drop out from the Dab signal as of yet & FM/AM signal is just as good.

Hello guys. I was wondering if you can help me.
I want to fit in my corsa D a shark fin but I don't want the plastic ugly that GM has.
Is there any possibility for this shark fin from SAAB to be compatible?

Thank you very much.

Thank you very much.

The Sharkfin is for Phone and Navi according to a part search.

If the aerial fitting on the corsa is the same as the Astra-J it should fit.

I really dont know if it the same.
My car doesn't have phone but I think that is has navi. Can I plug only the one cable for the navi and the radio or it will not work like that?
Thank you.
