Anyone got a shorter aerial without loosing signal, would love a shark fin but too much work

Anyone swapped their aerial for a stubby?

Looking for recommendations that still give good reception (not that the std one is that good in the first place!)

How-to remove roof aerial

So start by opening the boot and removing the parcel shelf (this is so you don't lean on it and brake it.)

Next start to pull the roof liner down from the rubber.

Hi, I have seen a couple of pictures showing some of the headlining being pulled down from around the tailgate for aerial removal. How far do you need to go to get the aerial out as I pulled along the whole of the tailgate edge and it was still too tight to gain propper access or even see the aerial base nut. The FM aerial connector seemed to be fixed to the roof somehow, so it looks as though I will have to remove quite a bit of the roof lining, unless I am missing something?

The Mrs Fiesta has a roof Aerial at the front by the windscreen.

I've just ordered a new Sharkfin for my car that has DAB FM/AM & GPS, so was thinking of fitting my DAB FM/AM sharkfin to her car.

I know I'll have to drill a hole at the back of the roof no issue with that at all.

Now I know I could rip the headliner out and get a bit of metal welded on and roof re-paint, but it there another way of doing it?

hi does anyone know what the pin is to the 2 aerial amplifiers as am trying to fit a cd500 but think am not powering the amps thanks

Hi guys I got 2015 Astra GTC 2.0 ,
I have upgraded my radio to android head unit , originally I had cd400 plus with dab and usb ,
I know would like to use my existing shark fin antenna to plug in the dab in to my headunit ,when I took my old cd400 unit I didn't find any Dab connector there or anything there was is standard FM antenna ? I have searched the forums and found that there should be a seperate box for the dab and usb unit ,could any one confirm they actually exist and where about are
