Wiper fluid and coolant bottle sensors
#1
Hi All Smile

So I've finally got my new IPC working but wasn't able to disable the warning messages about the low wiper fluid and the low coolant levels. I can't afford to fit the bottles which have the sensors and have read and have been told that I can just bridge some connectors to stop them from appearing...what exactly does this mean and how would I do it?

Also would doing this disable the coolant temp that I see in the display or is this something else?

Thanks Smile

They are both a pain to get too one is behind wheel arch passanger side the other is tucked up under the header tank.

They can be disabled, I know I did it for Lewis on the same display.

By bridging it means to loop the ground into the positive.

Ahhh balls! :( haha. Looks like they may be staying as they are for a while then! And odd, maybe ***** just couldn't see the option needed...I did show him the video you made showing how to change the options but he couldn't find it as I say.

I did turn up with next to no notice though so can't blame him if he overlooked it

It's very easy to overlook things in the options boxes as something's don't even relate to what to they really mean.

That could have been it then...I was looking for the option too and couldn't see it either...could have been tucked away somewhere as you say! Well, I'll just ignore it for now and then decide if I want to fit the bottles with sensors or just bridge the connection...disabling then info on the screen would be the most difficult option as I don't know anyone who can do it near me

Awesome! Big grin be a great help. I'll need to get my tickets booked for this asap won't it! Is it a good day out even if you're not a massive car fanatic? As in, I appreciate cars and like tinkering but don't acctually know a great deal about the ins and outs of them...
