Wiper fluid and coolant bottle sensors
Hi All

So I've finally got my new IPC working but wasn't able to disable the warning messages about the low wiper fluid and the low coolant levels. I can't afford to fit the bottles which have the sensors and have read and have been told that I can just bridge some connectors to stop them from appearing...what exactly does this mean and how would I do it?

Also would doing this disable the coolant temp that I see in the display or is this something else?

Thanks

Retrofit Coolant and Wiper Fluid Sensors
Hi All

Just looking into the sensors I would need to retrofit in order to get the wiper fluid and coolant sensors working as I'm thinking I'd probably get some use out of this so it makes sense to use it rather than have those warnings removed all together. Would be a project for when I have more money but wondering if the following sensors are the ones I need?

13195945 - Washer fluid

13276326 - Coolant

Also do these just sit between the pipes and the actual tanks themselves or ar

coolant issue
Evening guys,

Ive been keeping an eye on my expansion tank for a while but yesterday I went to the the kids to nursery and was prompted with a low coolant level warning. So i checked to see where it was at and there was just under half when I always keep my tank topped up.

I took the cap off and started the car to see if there was perhaps an air lock in the system. Ran the car for about 10 minutes and held it at 2000 rpm for about 2 minutes. The level returned to normal.

Checked it a

Black filter/cap under coolant cap won't budge
When I unscrew the cap to the coolant tank there's a black cap or filter there that won't come out, coolant won't seep through it either so I can't put any in.

Coolant/ Expansion Tank Removal
Hi guys.

I had a quick look around but can't seem to find anything about removing the tank (has a crack and is leaking).

Anybody that could help? Does the battery have to come off?

Thanks in advance

GTC Coolant temp sensor
Hi,
Daughter's 2012 GTC had what I thought to be a faulty coolant temperature sensor. Error shown on display and fan running at full speed constantly. Purchased a new thermostat with sensor included and connected it to the cables (before going to the trouble of fitting thermostat to engine block) to test.
The same error was still shown on the display, and the fan ran at full speed.

Sensor resistance very similar to the fitted one. (17 ohms) at room temperature.
Appear to be getting voltage

Slow coolant loss
My 13 reg Astra 2.0 cdti auto tourer is losing coolant somewhere. I noticed the level in the expansion tank was low in September and topped it up. Then just last week I got in and had a low coolant warning on the dash. It took about 600ml to top it back up.
There are no obvious leaks to see without dismantling anything, and there's no mayonnaise inside the oil filler cap. The car's done about 59000 miles.
Does anyone have any ideas where to look, or any common faults that might cause this ?

Engine Coolant and remote locking
Hi All,
I bought my car about 6 months ago, its only 5 years old and had less than 40k on the clock. At first I had two issues with the car, the engine coolant light was coming on even though it had just been serviced and remote locking with the buttons in the car was hit and miss, sometimes they'd work other times it wouldnt, same with taking the key out, it wouldn't automatically unlock the doors at times.
I took it back to lookers and they spent around 3 weeks in total with the car (lockin

Coolant is milkshake
Astra J auto Sri, 2010 plate, 50k miles.

The coolant in the expansion tank has turned into what I can only describe as a thick chocolate milkshake. Currently arguing with a finance company as I haven’t had the car long. Assumed it was an oil cooler problem however two garages won’t touch it because it might not be an oil cooler issue, Vauxhall themselves have quoted six hours to flush and strip it all for a diagnosis but think it’s engine oil and not transmission oil and have said it might n
