  Egr removal
Posted by: richje100 - 10:th-May-2020, 11:02:54 - Forum: Medium cars Astra, Cascada, Vectra, Monaro & Insignia - Replies (5)

Hey guys, anyone removed the egr from a 2016 insignia or one with the b20dth engine? Seems it's well hidden and hard to get to.
Want to give it a clean.
Thanks

How to install a boost gauge?
Posted by: Cav12345 - 9:th-May-2020, 10:26:51 - Forum: Astra-J/GTC Howto's - Replies (2)

I've got an Astra J CDTI SRI 2.0

Hi everyone i'm sorry if this is posted in the wrong section.

i'm looking for some advice to installing a boost gauge i know how to install the gauge its self but unsure where i should tap the boost from.

i know that i can tap into the boost hose but i'mt not sure if that would give me a 100% pressure reading. so i'm thinking about tapping into the intake manifold just after the throttle body which i'm thinking would give me the correct readings of pressure for the gauge? or am i completely wrong?

but where abouts is the best place to tap into?

i've got a picture of a small section of my engine bay to where i think i may tap if anyone can point me in the right direction it be much appreciated.

Thanks for any advice.

Aftermarket Headunit with Infinty System
Posted by: tez162003 - 4:th-May-2020, 19:45:22 - Forum: Electrical - Replies (3)

I bought one of those Tesla style headunits a year or so ago, tried fitting it but never managed to get it working properly so it's sat in the garage ever since. From memory (its been a while) all the connectors connected fine and it powered up etc, but there was two problems I could not fix

1. Bluetooth never seemed to connect up

2. The main one, I could never get sound to work. Back then I did do some reading up and found the amp needs switching on which meant connecting a wire from someone (again this was a long time ago now), for example pin 47 or something like that, I did this but still never managed to get it to work.

Has there been anyone else fit a headunit with the Infinity system in their GTC? Is there anything else I should be aware of?

Any help would be much appreciated and sorry for the vague descriptions, I have not tried since as I know without a new plan of attack I won't get any further than I did last time.
