Welcome back to the VXOC FORUM.
Sorry for our lack of support over the last year but MYBB is back and so are we.
Let's get the forum buzzing again... (March 25, 2022)x
Has anyone got or bought a decent back seat cover that will protect leather seats for my J, I have an 8 year old and i believe the rear seats are not safe from her. I have seen some on ebay but i want to make sure i'll get one that fits.
I currently have a 2013 Astra I have followed a tutorial on here of how to put the footwells in and it didnt seem to work i am getting 5v when i probe the thicker grey wire which is obviously a can bus wire, I have probed other grey wires with the courtesy lights on and didnt seem to get any voltage down any of them i am not understanding what wire it is i need anyone got any answers for me
Looking for either 20 inch VX or GTC alloys to fit my car (Astra GTC J).
The GTC alloys I'm after seem to be a harder find, I'm after the ones that come with a lot of the limited edition models and they are also the ones on the car on the front of the vehicle handbook.
Preferably good condition and with some decent tyres on them, although I can buy the tyres seperate if I can get a good deal on the alloys!
Willing to travel for them for the right price, although would prefer to find a pair within a 2-3 hour drive from newcastle
Recently picked up a GTC and looking into tuning options.
The car had a brand new gearbox fitted by a main Vauxhall dealer a few weeks ago during the process of buying car (20k miles on clock) due to a common problem with the bearings in the M32.
I was told the new fitted box is a superlative box and was just looking for some confirmation on this, have Vauxhall finally upped their game with the M32? Can anyone confirm?
Following on from this, how safe would the gearbox now be in terms of a remap and what effects would this have on the standard M32 or the possibly "superlative" M32?
Not new a complete newbie to Vauxhalls, been running a MK5 Astra SXi (1.4, 90bhp) as a first car since I passed my test last year, but have recently been able to upgrade to a MK6 Astra GTC (1.6 Turbo, 180bhp) due to lower insurance premiums with me turning 18 and having 1 years NCB!
Looking to begin modifying my car as well as looking to have a nosey round here for inspiration and possibilities
Recently picked up a 2013 GTC (1.6 Turbo 180ps) and I am currently looking into smaller tuning options, at least for now anyways.
After looking at cone filters, I've pretty much ruled them out due to the limited amount of kits out there, the price of the kits available, the effort of making one myself and heatsoak issues.
So back to the question, as far as I know the Pipercross is about £15 cheaper and is a dry filter, vs the K&N which I believe is oiled.
So all I really want to know is:
A - Is there any sound differences between the kits? Which sounds better?
B - Which will make the car feel/run better? I know the car won't feel vastly different if different at all, but are there any minor factors which makes one filter superior to the other?
D - Oiled vs dry filter, advantages/disadvantages? Or am I right in thinking dry is the way forward? (at least for my car)
C - Are there any other better options out there which I should consider?
