Hi everyone,

I'm picking up my astra elite on Tuesday morning, will be a welcome change for us,  Been a vectra driver for the last 4 years and although it has been rock solid its time for a change before it starts to costs money,  The vectra is a 1.8vvti and as it has been totally reliable I went for the 1.6 vvt astra, although i know its not that good on fuel economy round town and its not that pokey i think its a better option for us than a diesel as we do a lot of short trips in town.

I'll try to attach a picture of it.

  My son-in-law new Sport Tourer
Posted by: cornishtaz - 9:th-Oct-2016, 21:02:41 - Forum: Members car's progress threads - Replies (20)

My son-in-law recently bought a 13plate 1.7cdti Tourer.

Its been in my garage for the last week so I've carried out a few mods.

Started with VXR pedals

Insignia VXLINE gearstick

Then a full white led conversion, I also added ambient lighting in the doors, gear surround and interior light.

It had a quick clean today the pictures hide the shocking paintwork it needs a good machine polish.

Next to do is tint hi-lvl brake light and rear reflectors then upgrade exterior lighting.

  Locate sensor voltage Rain
Posted by: cosmo black - 9:th-Oct-2016, 00:03:07 - Forum: Electrical - Replies (2)

Hello to all I do not know if you know that our dear astra j has a spy for the automatic wipers that only works on the first astra j.
To me it does not work and now I incocciato I want to make it work ...
So the first thing I put 2 SMD LED in the instrument without connecting them to the instrument ....
So the first thing I try to remove the detrimental wipers and check whether putting the lever of rain sensor if one of the pin generate a fixed voltage to the sensor.
But the only pin that I have noticed signs of life when I set the lever to the first position to activate the rain sensor virtually passes from 10v to 2.70 v when the sensor is active and if I set the sensitivity of the sensor to masimo down to 0.70v.
While everyone else is always + 12v
I have also seen close to 3 pin arriving at the sensor but no dice there is a + 12v fixed a -12V and + 7V ...
Does anyone know how I can help find any tension when the lever is set to rain sensor
