On my Astra I keep getting notified of an attempted break in and can't reset this notification!
I also don't seem to have a working alarm.
Any ideas how I can get rid of this on my dash or even better how to fix the issues completely.
If there are any independent vauxhall techs in Torbay area please get in touch.
Thanks John

Hi
I bought a 13 reg Astra J 1.7 diesel 3 years ago & I need a new battery..
Is it a straight swap in & out or are there any nuances I need to know before I change? Alarm/door lock/anti theft etc etc
I dont know if my car has a stop start system because it never worked but would not surprise me if it had it?
Is there any way of know whether a car has stop/start system or not
cheers

IS YOUR CAR INSURANCE DUE IN NOV/DEC?
This forum's insurance partner (Chris Knott) exists to help members like you to find a better car insurance deal.
As we work predominantly with car club members and enthusiasts our insurer partners allow us to go further than perhaps a computer-generated rate would allow. By all means get your comparison site quote if you must but come to us afterwards and we'll be aiming to use that quote as the ceiling not the floor.
In this run up to Christmas, you could also WIN a £50 Amazon Voucher to help with your shopping.

Simply request a quote for a car we don't yet insure, during November, to gain automatic entry in this one month only prize draw.

As we're feeling generous, you'll also be eligible for the draw if you renew an existing CK car policy with us this month.
best,
Nick

Oh **** me these bloody turbo solenoid has gone again, replaced both only 18months ago and only done 14.000 miles, what a joke these are.
Will any fit from another make pref not GM they are ****, I don't get it my Astra H 2009 1.9 has never been replaced and done 110.000 miles.....actually will that fit?
I don't really understand how they work, are they specific to the make of car or would they work on any car if the wiring fits?
Any ideas I would appreciate it as I'm not paying £50 every 18months.

Hi all,
Just introducing myself, recently purchased an Astra J SRi 2015 1.4T and hopefully picking it up today or tomorrow, getting a fresh mot and service before I collect it. Noticed this forum has a lot of very detailed information hoping I'd become a regular user here. Been looking at any common faults or things to look out for with this particular model. Any suggestions on what I should look out for when I pick it up?

Just completed refitting a DVD800 into my 2010 Insignia.
But have problem with programming. I do have a genuine GM MDI. Although under SPS programming, there is no option to change VIN number on DVD800 ?
Only option available is programming, which fails with "E2700 : Hardware Mismatch No Programming Possible".
Anyone has any solution to for this ?

The first lockdown proved that our systems coped very well with having staff working from home. In fact, customer feedback suggested you didn't even notice any difference in service, which is great. As we move into this second national lockdown from Thursday we just want to assure you that we're ready and it is still BUSINESS AS USUAL.
In fact, we're announcing TWO NEW OFFERS as we approach the end of the year...

DISCOUNTED BREAKDOWN COVER FOR THE REST OF THE YEAR
As we enter the season of cold starts we figured you might be considering Breakdown Cover to protect your cars - and your loved ones as they carry out any essential travel.
To help you, we're offering 12 months' comprehensive UK Breakdown Cover for roughly the price of 11 (£5 OFF) if you buy anytime during the rest of 2020. There are different discounts built-in for multi-car households too.
Normally £63 for a single vehicle, on top of the usual breakdown features such as Recovery and Overnight Stay etc, Chris Knott's cover includes HomeStart, flat batteries, running out of fuel, lost or broken keys and accidental tyre damage - all as standard.
You can get a quote and buy online using promo code SANTA226 or you can call us to arrange cover.

"Had to use them again unfortunately yesterday - very efficient and recovery arrived with a flatbed in 35mins." Chris W, Volvo Owners Club
