Going up to the Scottish Highlands soon for a 1000 mile trip and really do not want to rely on that stupid can of gunk if I get a puncture.

Most pressing is the top but suspect dodgy glow plug based on it just being serviced.

hi so im back, im pleased to say i have a driving licence again but 2 days after getting my licence back i was made redundant at work, so while i looking for another job im been given a corsa, the owner died and his mum has given the car to me for free, its not a bad car but as soon as i have a job ive got to get an astra, seriously i have worst luck ever

heres my betty, betty is a 2005 corsa sxi 1.2 twinport, she is a slow elderly lady but trys hard lol.

ive had her a few weeks now, she has just under 25k miles, seems quite a good lil motor but what worrys me is the last owner hasnt serviced her in 10 years, in that time she has covered 6k miles, she seems to have only been serviced once in her life (2007), she smells very rich at the moment but im hoping once serviced and run abit she will be ok, my plans up to now is debadge numbers+letters, remove side strips, new numberplates with black holders, loads of led bulbs etc, alpine dab cd player, component door speakers, 12inch subwoofer, 5 channel amp, not sure what to do with rear speakers, either no rear speakers, 13cm rear speakers or get a stealth shelf for some 6x9s. aero flat wipers, flush dewiper rear window, definatly needs a better exhaust and the standard air filter has got to go, tint rear windows, not sure what to do about wheels but whatever i do they will be vauxhall wheels as not keen on aftermarket alloys on a mainly standard car, abit lower springs i think are needed,

any advice would be amazing please, sorry about quality of pictures

Hi Guys,

Wonder if anyone can help, I seem to be having what I think is an issue with the light/rain sensor in the Astra J. Not sure if its the sensor thats at fault, something else or not a fault. The issue is with the automatic headlight function, sometimes like today I started the car and it proceeded to put the headlights on even though its clear sunny day and the car is in direct sunlight. Other occasions i've had it when washing the windscreen it would come on and they would stay on for a good while, same with going in and out of tunnels the lights come on but seem to take forever to turn off or not at all & I have to manually turn the control off. I think i'm starting to notice it more due to the fact that it never use to behave in this way.

If anyone could shed any light on the issue (no pun intended there! Honest) it would be appreciated.

Saturday 26th November @ 7.00pm.

We will be meeting at Toys R Us at the Metrocentre at 6pm and then travelling to wherever the location is.

This is a event hosted originally from the Scottish #T26 group with around 30-40 members travelling down to do some xmas shopping as well as trying to take over Geordieland! All details are on the 5W group and I'm looking to get as many members as we can to go along!
