"Easy to deal with, fast on the paperwork, excellent value." Nick Shorey, Trustpilot
"In comparing quotes, staff were extremely helpful and the price quoted was considerably less than my previous insurer. Thank you all for your professionalism working from home in these crisis times." Patricia Williams, Trustpilot
"A great insurance company - will beat or match any quote you get, they've beaten mine saving me around £75. However, the policy they gave had alot more with it as extras and great customer service - thanks again Chris Knott, thanks to Kim for all her help. Also during Covid 19 they lowered my deposit which was so helpful." Daniel Moreton, Trustpilot
"Best quote for my replacement Hyundai Coupe. Efficient and friendly even in these lockdown times." John Stephenson, Trustpilot

Bluetooth Streaming Options? |

Hi its been bothering me a while that I cannot play music via bluetooth (especially when the missuses 63 Adam can!), the car is 15 Plate GTC SRI and has bluetooth functionality for phone calls, DAB and USB. Looking around some support it by pressing AUX twice but this doesn't work for me, am I just missing something?
What options are available to me? I've looked at aftermarket units but many don't support the ECO button or I lose some factory functionality such as DAB.
Any help would be much appreciated.

Looking to see if anyone is removing their android head unit in good order for a reasonable price, just the "single din" (ha) 7" type that leaves all the main buttons in place.
TIA

Hello all,
My name is Marcin. I have just signed up to this forum.
I must say, I have been following it since 2014, but only now I have decided to join.
Sine 2011 I have been driving Opel brand cars - firstly Astra J on 11 plate, later on another Astra J on 13 plate and a few years ago I bought an Insignia A facelift on 15 plate.
Myself and my wife have been happy with all those vehicles.
All of them have been great for long journeys.
Soon, I will try to post some pictures of our Insignia. She is quite well equipped.
Good to meet you all, guys.
Marcin.

Intermittent Power Loss - No Codes |

Hi. The car is a 2010 1.6 Petrol Exclusiv 113 - 64000 miles. From cold it runs perfectly but after a few miles it is intermittently loses power under load - going uphill or accelerating hardish. It feels more like a general reduction of power than loss of individual cylinder(s) but I'm not sure on that. No codes are displayed while the fault is occurring and there are none stored, according to my local garage. I've read elsewhere on the forum of similar problems resolved by a fuel filter change and the garage mechanic suggested that may be the issue but then discovered that the fuel filter isn't a replacement part on this model. It's integral to the fuel tank?
I have changed the plugs but not the coil pack as it looks like it has been changed before - probably by the previous owner trying to resolve the same problem. But wouldn't a faulty coil pack yield a code?
I'm on the cusp of selling the car at a substantial loss because of this but I wondered if anyone had any thoughts?
Thanks in anticipation.

Has my Astra-J got a selective bulb failure warning system? |

My Astra-J is a 2013 (63 plate) Elite model.
It seems very selective on telling me what bulbs have failed.
It has previously let me know I had a failed number plate light, DRL, dipped beam, and a brake light (no, not all at the same time )
However, it didn't inform me that I had a failed tail light bulb (one of the two pairs in the hatch), or more recently a high beam bulb.
Yes, I know you can't beat visually checking for yourself, but the bulb failure system on my old Vectra-C Elite was absolutely brilliant. Not only did it monitor EVERY exterior bulb, it also told you exactly which one had blown by putting a picture of the car on the stereo screen and saying that it was the LH brake light, RH front side light, etc. The Astra-J just says, brake light failed, but not telling you which one. Typical Vauxhall and their cost cutting measures.
Not having driven the Astra in darkness for over 6 months now until last Saturday evening (due to various lockdowns) I've no idea when the offside high beam bulb had failed. I initially thought that I couldn't remember the lights being this bad. It was only when I got out and looked that I had realised the OS headlight bulb was out.
So, are all Astra-J's with the bulb failure system like this, (i.e. very selective) or has mine got a fault?
