Air Con Pipe ID - Marc_81 - 28:th-May-2021

Hi All,

I have a leak in my Air Con system coming from the high pressure/low pressure pipes. Having trouble ID'ing the part numbers. Its a 2014 2.0 CDTI SRI, i've looked on ebay and these used ones look the right ones but they have no part code for me to check new prices. Can anyone help?

Much appreciated

Marc

Not to worry.. managed to sort it. Used a parts place called VauxCentre, at £95 it was cheaper than some of the used parts on Ebay! Part number for reference 13448376.

Hi, I’ve got a leak in my A/C system. Have you any suggestions where to start looking or is it a garage job?

Thanks

Garage job, who have the proper equipment that checks for leaks.

It's an offence to knowingly disperse AC refrigerant into the atmosphere.

I had a mobile air con specialist come round to look at mine. He had a lot of special equipment for detecting leaks... ran a gas through the system then used a 'sniffer' type device that sensed for the leak. It's usually the condenser.. odd for the pipes to go but I think they may have been damaged at some point, possibly when I had to have a new AC compressor.

All fixed now... cost me around £300 overall though (£35 initial diagnostics, £95 part, £120 fitting, £65 further checks and regas).

I had a garage look over mine today and they’ve quoted me £750 to replace a pipe and regas. It seems extortionate to me. They said the pipe was a dual pipe leading into the bulkhead. Anyone know what pipe this could be?

Thanks
