Hmmmm you both may be correct! See where you're coming from... Would save me a bunch of time and effort if I didn't have to paint them too! Will see how I feel when I see them [SMILING FACE WITH SMILING EYES]

Soooo thanks to
@rusty2009 I have a photoshop mock up of what the new alloys will look like (with them being sprayed grey too):
Front is new and back is old...I personally think it looks amazing!!
alloys will look awesome.
how are you getting on with the android satnav?
how are you getting on with the blue thingy lol
looks fab, good photoshop pic
Satnav is great! Had it lock up for the first time today however but there's a small reset button on the front which I pressed which rebooted it and brought it back working again
Happy light show is a bit of a pain ATM! Had some issues with it, told the manufacturer and they said they have never seen these issues before but are sending me a new unit out.
Here's the new alloys all installed on my car :
Decided not to paint in the end...will get them done properly in the future should I want too.
Alloys are looking smart mate. Are they from an SRI?
Looks like it would benefit from some eibachs now [WINKING FACE]

Really doesnt need painting. Looks great
@bhalay207 I'm not sure what mode they are off tbh! would be good to find out though...
hahaha maybe sometime but not yet...have totally run out of spare cash now!
Cheers! I like them as they are too so probably won't bother painting them
The real alloys look better than the photoshop lol

I'm glad you followed the advice!
The car looks another, awesome mate!
Found out what model they're off! They're from the Insignia VX-Line SRI

You sure? I'm almost certain they use a different stud pattern & would also gave bigger than 18" wheels too.
Aren't insignias 5x120?
Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Hmmmmm not sure! Can only find these alloys by searching Insignia SRI VX Line...and they are the same ones that were on that model Insignia that I saw in a showroom last week...can't find any pics of them on an Astra...
Think these are them:

thanks guys! and lol at their prices
They aren't the wheels you saw on that red Insignia if you're referring to that?
EDIT:
These..
Are not the wheels you have
Ahhhh you're right! Sorry..look very similar!

Nice looking alloys. Silver alloys suit darker coloured cars.

Thanks mate! And I actually agree! Really thinking of not bothering with painting them. These look really really silver too... Like a whiteish silver compared to the elite ones I have which are more like a dull silver... Not sure if it's because they're newer or what?

They were early preface lift alloys option on the Sri Astra j insigina are the same but only in a 20 option and they are a different stud Patten look nice thou mate [SMILING FACE WITH SMILING EYES]
These ones I got came off a 2015 model J though so must still be using them... And thanks though tucpal! I love them! [SMILING FACE WITH SMILING EYES]

Don't know how I didn't spot this when picking them up but it seems that someone messed the alloys up when removing one of the bolts!
I have someone coming next week to refurb it though
Sent from my XT1092 using Tapatalk
Mine is the same mate.... Bloody idiots with an air gun that are too eager and don't care!!!
Sent from my LG G4 using Tapatalk
Aggravating isn't it mate! [POUTING FACE] luckily it's only gonna cost 60 quid to have it repaired by a mobile refurb guy
Sent from my XT1092 using Tapatalk
They wouldn't be so rough if you handed them the bill!
Sent from my LG G4 using Tapatalk
Exactly! Well... I cba ringing around trying to find out who damaged them and proving it etc. So just manning up and dealing with it... Another had a small mark on it in the same place but not worth fixing it for 60 quid

My nemesis returns! Ha
Sent from my XT1092 using Tapatalk
are they your skid marks as well haha good luck
Maybe [WINKING FACE] it was actually fine! No issues at all... Must be because it was all compact last time and had turned to ice
Sent from my XT1092 using Tapatalk
Well you ain't getting out of that street

Best ring the missus.... Tell her to come and give you a hand
Sent from my LG G4 using Tapatalk
She's on her way! I fear if she doesn't get here soon I may not survive till tomorrow! (no bread or milk!) hahaha
Oh mate... Best get the shovels out!
Sent from my LG G4 using Tapatalk
Gonna get one of these:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/External-Micro...SwDNdV23Fu
And run it from the head unit up the A pillar and into the roof lining...the current one on the dash is perfect but just be better having it in the factory location but it's not long enough...above one is 3 meters long so will be spot on
Remember to surround it in foam or it will pick up road noise
Sent from my LG G4 using Tapatalk
Hmmm i don't get any Road noise atm so do you still think I would when it's up in the roof?
Sent from my XT1092 using Tapatalk
I'd say so yeah. I had terrible Road noise on mine. Padding it out solved it.
Sent from my LG G4 using Tapatalk
Hmmmm so just standard kitchen sponges then cut up and stuffed around it?
Sent from my XT1092 using Tapatalk
Well I've used double sided sticky pads but anything with sound deadening properties would work I'd of said
Sent from my LG G4 using Tapatalk
Cool! Thanks! Ordered the mic so will sort some foam or double sided tape out or something to soundproof it when it comes [SMILING FACE WITH SMILING EYES]
Next mod for me... Lowering my car! Seems to sit like a monster truck now with these 18s on! Ha
Sent from my XT1092 using Tapatalk
what you gunna get, same lowering springs as tonto?
I honestly don't know...never ever installed or bought lowering springs in my life so wouldn't even know where to begin! Ha. Be a while yet anyway...spent over a grand on the car this past month or so
lol, i have abit of money waiting to spend on a car then satnav etc but ii still havent heard from dvla, its killing me

Can imagine mate! Especially being on this forum too and seeing everyone doing stuff to their cars :(
@tonto what MM are yours and what should the deciding factors be as to how low they should go?
Also to anyone who may be able to help....is it possible to buy one of these dummy buttons with lots of microphone style holes in it? was thinking I'd be able to just stuff my MIC behind there instead...
Like the ones here:
These are the ones I got, states they're for 1.7 & 2.0cdti. With me having the Sri it was already 10mm lower than other models but they're 40mm drop total!!
https://www.ebay.co.uk/ulk/itm/321927305954
Pretty simple and straight forward to change really but I did have a mechanic help me lol! I've not had any issue with my 17s on and will eventually get some 18s..
