your 100% be better of with an MDI and GDS2 (main dealer level software and interface) but the cost of this isn't worth it.

The next option is an OP-com I recommend you buy from the link below, you can get it cheaper on ebay etc but low quality units etc.

Please note the op-com is still very limited on the Astra-J/GTC so don't really expect much other than reading and clearing fault codes.
