Yes it has worked for others otherwise I wouldn't of said to try it.

Ah thanks , sorry for the silly question, just not that technical minded, another silly question , so you mean move the pin 9 on the led surround plug only

No worries. Yes mate. Have to push the purple plug up (as it's the secondary locking lug) then if unfold a paper clip into a U you can use that to press then locking pins in and slide the pin out.

If you want some pics of what I mean let me know.
