You don't need to inform insurance about changing tyre size. The fact I've changed wheels yes, but not tyre size.

So what your saying is every broker etc I've spoken to has misinformed me? I totally see there point of view that changing a tyre size is a mod.

In essence, yes.

If you decide to fit a different profile tyre to your car, you do not need to declare it as a modification.

If you are using a 'specialist' broker who says changing the size of a tyre profile is deemed a modification.. you're not using a very specialist insurer.
