Tyre woes
I'm gutted! I found I had a slow puncture from a nail yesterday so off I popped to my local tyre place in Winsford this morning to have it repaired. They told me it would be £15 and I had to leave the car with them as they were busy until lunchtime. They rung me to say it was unrepairable. Anyway, I wasn't convinced so popped to another tyre place at the other side of town to see if they could repair it. He said yes and so they started the job while we waited. Five minutes after he called me in

Tyre Pump
Hey Guys [SMILING FACE WITH SMILING EYES]

Just a quick one here... Not really important or related to anything I'm doing but wanted to know of the tyre pumps that you guys have with your cars are built into the car (in the boot somewhere) or are separate and you need to plug them into the cig lighter?

Reason I ask is that we had to use one tonight on my old Corsa D and I found out that it's built into the boot side wall! You pop a cover off and run a long pipe from the boot to the tyre and t

Tyre size
Hi guys

I've got my 19" wheels fitted to my car now but need some new tyres ASAP.

They currently have 255/35/19 fitted but everywhere I've looked online says that they should have 235/35/19 on them.

Anyone able to confirm what tyres I should have?

Cheers

Tyre choices 18" wheels
Currently looking to replace two rear tyres

Size currently on car, 235 / 45 / 18 94W Bridgestone RE050A

I am undecided if I want to replace the existing tyres with Bridgestones, mainly down to the eye watering cost

Anyone else tried different sizes on 18"s or anyone have any suggestions for alternative brands in the existing size, as I could be tempted to change all 4 tyres

I drive pretty, hard cornering wise, so would be looking for a grippy tyre, rather than an ECO type tyre

Cracked tyre valve with TPMS
Hi all

I went to put air in my tyres today and noticed that the metal valve is cracked on one of my wheels and therefore I am unable to put air in. Is this a cheap tyre shop job or will the whole sensor need replacing?

Thanks very much

Tyre sealant
It’s not ideal as I’d rather have a spare but it’s better than nothing which is what I currently have. My question is what size tyre sealant canister do I need for a 245 40 20 tyre?

Tyre Pressure Warning Niggle
Im after some guidance.

Front OS got a flat this morning.  When I replaced the wheel  and started her up to come home the dash pressure warning display is lit, but the pressure display screen is showing the front NS flat not the OS.  The thing is up on the jack so theres no way you can misread it....

Anyone know how this thing works?

Astra J. Can a tyre valve be replaced without replacing the TPMS?
I have an Astra J hatchback, 2015 reg, I think it is “pre facelift” but not sure.
It has slow punctures on both off side wheels

My tyre garage (Formula 1 Autos) told me that air is leaking from between the valve body and the alloy wheel seat.
They say that if I can get hold of replacement valves they will replace them. They say that this will not involve disturbing the TPMS.

Are they correct?
Is the TPMS separate from the valve on this car? All I can find are combined TPMS and valve
