ok cool. Is there just the one type of the 2 tone colour trim or is there 2 like the metallic and dull silver. want to get it right this time, otherwise I'm gonna end up with more dash trim than I know what to do with! Ha.
Reply
#56
Hahaha yeah better to do your research eh! And I'm not sure mate, as far as I'm aware there is another two tone one but the difference is that the black has a carbon style effect on it (same as my doors and a photo has been posted in this thread) but someone more knowledgable than me may correct me.

Well I know 13257562 is the dull silver one. Well 'silver dust' to be precise. Not sure what my metallic silver one is because I've not taken it off yet.

Ha. Thanks. Yeah the misses ain't happy. No worries tucpal I've sold the dull silver one on eBay and think I'm gonna keep the metallic one. Need to convince the misses now to let me get some alloys. It's really hard to find 19" or 18" vxr ones with 5x115. Most are 5x110

If you get the J VXR alloys they are 5x115 I think the H is 5x110

The J has the follow 5x105 and 5x115

How easy is it to get the centre caps for them alloys?

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Reply

the best way is to remove the wheel and then poke them out
if you try from the front you will damage them but they will just push back in when the wheel is back on the car

you could keep the ones you have and put them on your new alloys
and put these on the old ones to sell

but you will need the black ones new there about £50.00

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/New-Genuine-Va...3f4442458c

but you could just wrap the ones you have gloss black

Cheers for the info.

So the caps on my alloys on my car now will fit on the new ones? I just assumed (due to having zero knowledge on any of this) that they would be different sized caps.
