Rear Griffin Emblem Removal
#1
Does anyone know if the rear Griffin Emblem badge is stuck on or clipped on? I really want to remove it.

it is stuck on with 3m tape but there is also two tabs on the griffin
so if you remove the badge there will be two tiny holes on the boot.

Are they very noticeable or will they have to be filled etc?

filled as they stand out
other option is to do the background black

but this only works on light color cars

My car is technical grey so it wouldn't make any difference. I've been told to use plasti dip to spray it.

you can do PlastiDip is fine but pealing the inlay bits out is not that easy.

Could I not remove it, respray it and then put it back on?

Yes but you will need sum new 3m tape to stick it back on but if you do remove it I recommend wrapping it for a better finish

I may just take it to the body shop for them to do.

You can buy a new one from eBay etc then spray or wrap the new one that way you have the tape already on the back just heat the old griffin with a hair drier and use an old credit card to get it off then remove the old tape that will be left over on the car and the griffin with silicone remover or tar remover

To undo the tabs to take badge off how do you that? Is it the case of taking plastic of boot door inside?
