Tyre size

Hi guys

I've got my 19" wheels fitted to my car now but need some new tyres ASAP.

They currently have 255/35/19 fitted but everywhere I've looked online says that they should have 235/35/19 on them.

Anyone able to confirm what tyres I should have?

Yeah I've seen that which says they should be 235/35/19 but I currently have 255/35/19 just wondered if it was a problem to keep the 255's when I order them

Well if you've had no problem with the different size then the choice is upto you.

But you would to inform your insurance company as its classed as a mod.

The tyre change size was done most likely to save a few quid.

Yeah they're genuine, they don't rub so doesn't really matter I guess, il get 235/35/19 or 40 profile depends which is cheaper then.

In essence, yes.

If you decide to fit a different profile tyre to your car, you do not need to declare it as a modification.

If you are using a 'specialist' broker who says changing the size of a tyre profile is deemed a modification.. you're not using a very specialist insurer.

Some may well do. The one I work for (I actually leave tomorrow!) doesn't and hasn't done ever. I've worked there years.
