  New Site
Posted by: Simon Templar - 11:th-May-2015, 19:48:25 - Forum: Astra-J/GTC - Replies (5)

Had a lot of problems since the new site was launched and am posting in here as , some threads seem to be "broken" to me . I'm unable to reply to threads that I started and unable to post a new thread in the servicing section . .

Anyway , I had a problem with rough running in my car between 1700-2000rpm . It transpired that two injectors were gubbed and the cylinder head gasket had gone between nos 3and 4 cylinders possibly caused by the faulty injector. .

The cylinder head was also damaged , adjacent to the spot where the head gasket had burst . .

  Subby Aerial

Anyone swapped their aerial for a stubby?

Looking for recommendations that still give good reception (not that the std one is that good in the first place!)

Hey Guys

Anyone know if it's possible to boost the amount of power going to the USB port? My phone charges sooooooo slowly via the USB.

Thanks

  1.7 CDTI idle unsteady
Posted by: Jj0063 - 9:th-May-2015, 18:20:40 - Forum: Astra-J/GTC - Replies (2)

Hi guys

So yesterday I drove from Norfolk to West Yorkshire ~150 miles and noticed that now my car is idling a bit odd, will idle fine then the revs drop a little & it almost chugs a bit, then goes back to normal and the car idles ok again, then the cycle starts again. It doesn't cut out and no warning light.

I thought it was just doing a regen but it did it yesterday afternoon, evening, and today both times I've driven it. Ive now done probably 40 miles with it like it (that I've noticed)

Could it still be a regen? Or EGR? Is there a blank for the EGR on these engines?

It's on 105k and is having a cambelt/waterpump on Wednesday so il ask them to look at it if needs be.

Cheers
Jordan
