  ANDROID B5754 HEAD UNIT
Posted by: Dave0098 - 30:th-Mar-2017, 20:17:32 - Forum: ICE - Replies (2)

Hi!

Just got my Astra J SRI VX line, very happy with it apart from the lack of Bluetooth :-(

Anyway i've been doing a lot of searching on the net and i was going to buy the Retrofit bluetooth module for the CD400 but its a lot of money just for bluetooth. I also thought about a double din head unit but the cost of the modified surround is stupid money for a bit of plastic trim. So i've stumbled upon the Android head units, i've seen a couple on threads on here and a couple of videos on YouTube, they look pretty impressive and not much more money than the Retrofit module. I want to keep the cars original look which i like while still adding up to date features, i like the fact with the Android head-unit everything on the console is the same apart from the screen.

The unit i'm looking at is the B5754 which looks pretty good, anyone had much to do with these or any others, installation, wiring etc?

Thanks all!

  Colour difference

Hi all,

I've noticed my 2011 Astra elite seems to have different colour shades on the rear doors. In some lights it doesn't notice but in broad daylight it really stands out. Any ideas on what this could be?

Can't seem to post a photo as it says file too large?

HI Im fortunate to have the chance of buying my first GTC SRI 2ltr Diesel. I thought it was gonna be plain sailing in buying a white one, then saw a black one, wow they both look good. Both with roughly the same spec. Any thoughts would be appreciated on how the blacks fairs up with scratches etc?
Thank you in advance
Ronnie

  healights/ side lights upgrade
Posted by: jamesh7168 - 29:th-Mar-2017, 13:01:50 - Forum: Astra-J/GTC Technical - Replies (6)

hi sorry if this has been asked before but i have no expericance with cars, but i have an astra gtc 1.7cdti (13 reg) and i want to upgrade my headlights and side lights ... if its possible, i have the horrible yellow looking lights at the minute which i think make the car simply look out dated, i have seen pictures were people have changed theres to what i think r led's or hid kits (dont really no the difference) and was wondering if someone could point me in the right direction to get them and how to install them as if there not just a simple swap like any old bulb i will not have a clue how to do it.

also if anyone has any pictures of theres that they have done along with what bulbs they bought that would be great.

thanks in advance

james

New car - needs new ICE
Posted by: no_name - 27:th-Mar-2017, 20:00:57 - Forum: ICE - Replies (6)

Hi everyone - my 1st post here as I'm shortly coming back to the exciting world of vauxhall ownership after flirting with VW for a couple of years (Golf mk6 TDI).

I am buying a 15-plate 2.0 CDTI Elite which has a CD400plus with DAB and Bluetooth.  I'm slightly (but only slightly knowing Vx) surprised it doesn't even come with a USB connection but I understand this can potentially be retrofitted.

The other thing I'm hoping to do is get rid of the 90s style orange GID that Vx still insists on fitting to their cars and replace it with a CID based system.

Ideally I'd like to get a NAVI 950 or 650 as I believe these can support A2DP depending on the model year - which is the other thing these cars should really support - but again there's a big question mark over whether it can or can't be retrofitted (I've trawled through various vx forums and see conflicting reports on how possible it is to get the VCI codes).

So 1st things 1st if anyone can help with programming the USB that would be a great start (I see the part numbers from the how-to thread on here) and if anyone can help regards the NAVI that would also be helpful!
