Welcome back to the VXOC FORUM.
Sorry for our lack of support over the last year but MYBB is back and so are we.
Let's get the forum buzzing again... (March 25, 2022)x
I’m new to this forum and I have recently purchased a 2.0 CDTI SRI GTC, I have been in contact with a guy who is selling his roof spoiler from the Limited Edition, If I was to buy this from him how would I go about fitting this?
The two side fins come off I understand? How? Does the spoiler simply clip in the place they once were? Does it need to be glued?
Thanks in advanced.
EDIT: I believe this is in the wrong section, apologies.
Hi, Im Gavin and I have just bought a 12 plate Astra 2.0 SRI VX line. I had an Astra H 1.6 design before the vx line. Wow what a difference and what a car the VX line is. Got some plans for it i have already de badged the boot but also going to add (coilovers, remap etc) soon so will keep you updated on the progress. But for now anyways here are some pics of the VX
Been looking into this for a while and some conflicting information from Vauxhall Garages.
Was always under the impression from the garages information that:
- Astra 2.0 CDTI was 60k or 6 years
- Insignia 2.0 CDTI was 100k or 10 years
(whichever comes first).
Anyway, now im at stage where im defiantly looking to get it done, and Vauxhall have apparently revised it for both engines to 100k or 6 years, whichever comes first. I rang up HQ to check and this is what they advised.
Question is, does it REALLY need doing at 6 years??
I know its a pig if the belt goes as engine is goosed, but im just curios.
Hi all as the title I'm from stoke
Is there many of us from stoke on here?
I drive a 2013 astra sri 1.6 non-turbo
Im looking forward to doing some of the retrofits you've all done.
Been looking at Bluetooth retro fits/headunit upgrade.
my main concern is the maintain of the vehicle settings, the retro fit would be £250 and allow a2dp but be like factory fit, an android auto head unit would be more once I factor in a connects2 facia and wiring harness.
question is has anyone upgraded the head unit replacing the CD400 with a double din radio w/touch screen and maintained the use of the vehicle settings (lights on from unlock, chime volume etc)?
alternatively, would I be able to get a second hand bluetooth module from ebay and install it or is it not as simple as that?
To cut a long story short, I bought a bluetooth OBD2 reader to get a fault code read, app said it couldn't connect to my ECU it also sent loads of warning lights away and the rev counter starting going between 1000rpm and auto start/stop, so I sacked it off as cheap kit and took my car to a local garage to have the fault code read and when the code reader was attached to the OBD2 port it also couldn't read any fault codes.
Does anyone have any ideas about this?
I've checked all the fuses and the OBD2 port does power the readers that have been used so is working.
I‘ve got an Astra J 2010 and I was wondering if it could be possible to retrofit the steering wheel remote control buttons? I really like them and miss them since I drove an Insignia from my dad, does this need programming or might be just plug and play? Or are the cables even there?
Would be nice if someone knows something about this
