Hello guys.
I am sorry if someone already questioned about this. So i own Astra J 1.6 turbo SIDI 170hp with code A16XHT. I wonder if the "updated engine A16SHT with 200 hp is the same , but only different software. I talked with a guy in the local dealership and he told me it's just software " these extra 30hp" . Sooo, can somebody give more info about this .

Anyone there having similar problem.
I had recently installed rear view camera that fits where the rear light is, just above the number plate (Astra elite 2011). All wires set up and camera triggers on when in reverse gear.
The problem - the button on the car stereo faceplate (Volume and option) & steering wheel control works perfectly prior the use of rear camera. Once I active the rear camera via the reverse gear the screen views the rear and after disconnecting the reverse gear the camera turns off bringing to normal screen, but I cannot use the volume and option button in head unit (Sony XAV AX3005DB)nor steering wheel. Only home button works in the head unit, the music can be changed via the touch screen.
Anyone have any idea what is causing this? Seems like something gets switched off inside the head unit.
If I turn the ignition off and on again, I can use the volume, option button and steering wheel function.

Hi all
I'm purchasing a 2014 GTC CDTI on Monday and upon testing the bluetooth it only has functionality for phone calls and not to play audio. The Stereo is a CD400+ I believe.
How would I go about upgrading this to play bluetooth audio and be able to use the steering wheel controls with this? I'm not after a new unit for navigation/parking cameras or a nice touch screen etc. Just want to be able to play BT audio and use the wheel controls with it on the same unit I have now.
I'm also completely useless with fitting stuff so would require someone to do it for me, I assume you'd need some new cables and to maybe programme the unit (you can tell I'm an absolute amateur). If anyone has any ideas and how much this would cost for someone to do it all and any recommendations for who's the best person to do this, I'd greatly appreciate it.
Thanks

2013 GTC 1.6T Crankcase vacuum |

Hi everyone from Australia!
Hope your all well and keeping busy with your Astra's, I know I am.
I'm here looking for info on the crankcase ventilation of my GTC. I have serious a vacuum in my crankcase/head causing bad whining or squealing when the car is warm.
Its definitely the vacuum causing the squealing as when I remove the dipstick or oil cap it stops dead.
I'm thinking a PCV valve is causing this but im unsure on how the system works on these cars.
On the camshaft cover is a pipe going to the turbo intake (PCV I presume). The crankcase vacuum is still there when disconnected from the intake so it's not this PCV.
There must be another PCV on the inlet manifold past the throttle body, does anyone have any information on the vacuum system?
I thought maybe the auxiliary vacuum pump on the cam shaft but its not that when isolated either.
Any advice would be much appreciated, thanks guys!

hi guys
im new to the forums, was just wondering what i might have done wrong with wiring up my dash cam to green and white wire before it gets to back of rear fuse box.
seems its knocked out the parking sensors(getting the service parking assist warning on dash)and the tpms is not working, ive checked the fuse for parking sensors and its still fine plus theres a 12 volt supply to it also.
any help would be appreciated
