  New Headlight Query
Posted by: stigeye - 2:nd-Nov-2016, 12:43:28 - Forum: Lighting - Replies (5)

I have got a chance to buy a set of headlights at a knockdown price, they are usually sold on eBay for all astra J's but I have noticed something that has got me scratching my head...

The listing says the headlights have integrated indicators, where the low beam is usually located on the unit. The listing says... 'Black interior with clear, unpatterned lens. These headlights have a single projector lens with electric switching for dipped & high beam, integrated indicators and integrated LED DRL light bar strip'. How can this work on a car that has indicators (like mine) fitted to the bumper, or wont it work? Don't all J's have indicators fixed to their bumpers, or do some have them fitted to the headlight, like the ones in the listing...

One of the sellers has just responded to my question as to whether they will work on my car and they said they wont... so I guess that answers my question lol.

They should state in the listing that they wont work on cars with indicators fitted to the bumper. I wasn't buying them from eBay by the way.

  Snow socks for sale
Posted by: grahamfromoldham - 1:st-Nov-2016, 13:52:13 - Forum: Parts for sale - Replies (2)

Agripool Multigrip (TG83 size) snow socks that I bought for my 2010 Astra Elite for sale. Used once, cost me approx £60 new but will accept £20 incl free postage to mainland UK. Fantastic item to keep as an emergency in your boot as winter is approaching and got me out of a sticky situation once.
They are gathering dust as they no longer fit the car I have got. They will fit various tyre sizes so please look at the photo below to check your tyre size against the TG83 size.

Hummels´s progress thread Astra GTC 2,0CDTi
Posted by: Hummelshøj - 31:st-Oct-2016, 22:02:44 - Forum: Members car's progress threads - Replies (24)

Hi

For some reason, that I don´t understand, my GTC was from factory not ordered with factory LED rear lamps despite having front LED DRL and AFL light.
I had to rectify that mistake. Price from dealer was 850£ + 70£ wiring. I managed to get it all for 450£ with wiring as my workplace imports Valeo parts from France.

I also bought HappyBlue OBD module so I can make rearlights and numberplate light not to be shown with bulb warnings in the display. With HappyBlue module you can also alter alot of settings via Bluetooth and an app on your phone, fx. when it is doing a regen you can get it shown on the mid-level display when started and again when finished. Also bought LED bulbs for front foglights, cabinelights, glovebox and boot.
Corsa D OPC sideindicator mouldings, Eibach Pro springkit, ashtray/bin, shelf for glovebox to organize better have also been purchased.

I also found a secondhand DTE V3 pedalbox for 50£ and found 8pcs. 19" five spoke wheels from the 5 door version for only 270£. I have ordered Michelin Pilot Alpin PA4 235/45R19 wintertyres for them.
Mine was not ordered with factory navigation either, only the CD400 and then previous owner have replaced it with a RoadCommander like the Icebox and ESX-VN709. I have bought the OEM sharkfine and plan to change it for the normal aerial. I know it´s not made for AM/FM radio but hope by replacing the radio plug I can use it for radio signal.

My LED´s arrived.

I found a secondhand DTE V3 pedalbox for 50£

But have not yet got around to fitting it, But time will come.

I have also bought a new Steeringwheel, brand new with white stitching for OPC/VXR

I had a little play with the HappyBlue and US light

But turned it off again as it´s not legal here in Denmark. Sidelight must only be white light not yellow, as it can make others believe you have your full indicator light on and need help.

I managed to fit my new OPC steeringwheel. Soooo much nicer than the standard Sport/SRi "leather" steering wheel.

New thing is on the way

[Image: Astra%20J%20OPC%20Aero%20Tagspoiler_zpsppntxtps.jpeg]

Found the AeroPack roof spoiler version 2 with the 2 legs between the spoilers. I am so happy and are waiting for it to arrive.

Also have the winterwheels ready for the season.

[Image: Vinterhjul%2019%2023545R19michelin_zpsfkp83vuo.jpg]

Looking forward to test the Michelin PA4´s as the review´s are very good for this tyre.

And finally it arrived. I am in love. Now I am saving up for the AeroPack sideskirts. Hoped I can get it all bought and ready with paint for the summer season.

  Alloy wheel centre bore
Posted by: stigeye - 30:th-Oct-2016, 19:38:41 - Forum: Astra-J/GTC - Replies (1)

Hi, I am trying to find out the correct centre bore for the alloy wheels I have and the alloy wheels I have been looking at. The alloys on our car are 70.2mm according to Wheel-Size.com, and the alloys from a 2015 Zafira are 70.3 according to the same source. Does this sound about right, and if so I take it that spigot rings would not be required as the difference is so small.

I have tried to look around but I keep on seeing different sizes, ranging from 70.1 to 70.3 for the 2.0cdti Astra, so I assume that maybe the 70.1 refers to the actual car hub? From the same search I can only find one pcd size for the 2015 Zafira, which is 5x115, does that sound correct also?

  Astra 2.0 Cdti elite auto?
Posted by: marcus01 - 28:th-Oct-2016, 17:03:45 - Forum: Astra-J/GTC - Replies (12)

So I'm thinking of getting rid of my 2012 2.0 Cdti Sri vx line and going for an auto version of the same car mainly due the daily grid of stop start traffic on the highway.

I looking at the Elite version over the Sri version mainly due to spec.

Things I like about the elite version are:-
Leather seats
Heated seats
Climate control (had this in my Civic, miss it alot.

Things I will miss are:-
Vx line 19 alloys
Sportier ride compared to elite.
Vx line kit.

I've never driven an elite but Ive heard comments that the ride is a little spongy?
