Hi I was wondering if anyone could give me some advice. I bought an Astra gtc 2ltd in March 13 plate. Recently I have noticed that there is a thump coming from font of car. Only happens after I brake. For example if I brake and come to a stand once I remove my foot from brake a few seconds later there is a thud. This happens when braking and pulling away at low speeds only. If the car is stationery and in neutral and I press the brake lever remove my foot a few seconds later a loud thud that I can hear coming from front of car. Any ideas. The car is still under warranty. I at least want to go back to the garage with a rough idea of what I'm talking about. Any help greatly appreciated. Thanks.

hi guys, hoping you can help me with this one, I have a 2012 Astra j 2.0 cdti sri, I had a major service done on it last week, a week later on my way to work my power steering failed and it's telling me it needs a service, I was lucky I was on the straight part of the country road I was going down! Anyway once I got to work I turned car off for five minutes and it started working again, few days later and it stopped again as I was going down a38, any ideas what may be the cause? Anyone had this before??

Anyone know what the stance is from an MOT point of view and legal point of view when it comes to angel eyes like these but in white? I know the coloured ones are sort of frowned upon and don't like them anyway.

Well peeps went over the in laws for a Bbq today left the car unlocked and the windows down on her drive got back in the car later and I was welcomed with this

Any idea why everyone in the house could see the car all the time I was there and nobody tried anything with it ??

guys ive been studing forums everywhere to get some info on the signal problems whilst using the window mounted antenna that are to be used with the dabs usb modules for android head units.

i fitted this unit

and had to get the dabs module to suit with antenna

problem is when all is said and done the signal from these antennas is absolutely rubbish.

i have been reading that only a passive antenna could be used with these modules as an alternative

Just been out to check the AFL on my astra (had it a month but never been out in the dark ;-) )

Everything seemed to work AOK apart from the fact the main Beam Assist does not work as quick as I can do on my own (a few people flashed me :-( )  No worries on that score.

When I got back I had a look at the lights and found that one of them was not "on".  I is on the nearside.

It is the one nearest the grill - I have tried to attach a JPEG (only 228KB) but it will not let me 

I have read oodles of posts but cannot figure out what bulb is required and if you need to take off the bumper or not.

Any advice would be appreciated and sorry if it is obvious.

Might be a silly or obvious question but:  I have a 2011 astra - it has the lock and unlock button above the CD.
My question - are these buttons meant to be illuminated when activated?  I have it lock automatically when driving off and hear the clunk but nothing on the buttons.
