TESTIMONIALS
More recent feedback about the Chris Knott offering (you can check us out on TrustPilot too):
"Glad I found this, renewed my insurance with you guys and got a great quote and actually spoke to a very nice person and not just some mindless irritating person. Thanks." domhart10, Volvo Owners Club
"I had my renewal notice from my existing insurer yesterday, nearly choked on my coffee when I saw the amount!! I then tried the usual comparison site exercise and secured some cheaper options online as expected, mostly from companies I'd never heard of which always worries me! I then rang Ian at Chris Knott about the VOC Insurance offers and was very pleasantly surprised with his helpfulness and efforts in securing an amazing price for my V90. I reckon he's saved me around £500 on my original renewal shock, using a 'household name' insurance company too. Definitely worth giving Chris Knott a try!" cassell, Volvo Owners Club
"That time of year again! Got my renewal quote from Chris Knott, not the cheapest this time, renewal came in at £435, cheapest online was £390 with esure. Rang Chris Knott, they waived the admin fee, and applied my recommend a friend discount, and new renewal came to £401, not that far from the cheapest but I'm not going to quibble over £11. This will be the fourth year with the same insurer!" Imran, VWAudiForum
"I had to ring and inform my Insurer about the new tow bar. A call to the firm took me 42 seconds from start to finish. It was stress free and the service was faultless. It really proved that all this data protection stuff spouted by some other places can be done without stressing everyone out and all the better for it. I hope I never have a claim to try the service to the full, but up to now I am hugely impressed with the service, the price and the cover provided. WELL DONE and my thanks!" The Panda Nut, FiatForum
"Great company to be with and are very helpful I can recomend CK to anyone." sub, FiestaSTOC

Hello
I have been a member on this site since August 2017, I drive a 62 plate Astra 1.7 SRI which only had front & rear parking sensors when I bought the car, modifications so far include:-
Front & rear leather seats with heated seats & lumber support
Flex floor boot system
Power folding door mirrors
Leather door Cards
Rear electric windows
LED parking monitor display
Auto dimming mirror
Pioneer F88 dab
Reversing Camera
Remap 130 BHP to 160 BHP & 221 to 271 Nm Torque done maprotuning.co.uk
Being facelift model meant that was no rear fuse box so Rusty 2009 did the work & modifications for the heated seats, door cards, electric rear windows, & vci codes from Vauxhall & assoiciated looms that was required, very impressed as no piggyback fuses were requried.
Future Modifications to include if possible
Rear fog lights wired into rear reflectors & additional reversing light in place of the original rear fog light.
Mark

Sorry if I'm in the wrong section I'm new and come in need of help. I have a 2013 Astra 1.7 Cdti ecoflex sports tourer in need of a new piston. After getting in touch with vauxhall the part is on back order and they can't give me any sort of date for delivery. There is an alternative available from KOLBENSCHMIDT but I'm not sure if this will be okay ? Has anyone here had the same problem or used a replacement piston ? Any help would be greatly appreciated as I'm really stuck.

Hi Guys if anyone has a noise on cold start up that's sounds similar to a failing water pump but disappears after 10 seconds it could be the auxilary belt tensioner as I just replaced my belt and tensioner yesterday and what a difference. £70 fix so not too expensive just thought I would give everyone a wee heads up and the best way to confirm this is remove the auxilary belt and do a cold start and see if the noise has disappeared as well as feel for play in the pulleys as well.
