Advice required : any ideas as to why my 3 passenger doors simple will not open ( from inside or out ) , the locks pop when the remote central locking is pressed. But the doors are deadlocked shut

? even my local garage is baffled as the diagnostics says the locks / deadlocks are activating/deactivating

When you say not opening are you not able open them or are they just not unlocking?

Have the door cards been removed and all the linkages checked?

Thanks for your reply rusty , the door locks “pop” up and down when the button is pressed , but it’s like that are permanently dead locked

Do they unlock when pressing the lock/unlock button on the dash above the stereo?

Forgot to mention , no the door cards haven’t been removed and the linkages checked yet , although I’ve had it on my garages diagnostics and they seem to think there isn’t a problem as he car activate / deactivate everything , yet the door still won’t open

Big Dave , yes they unlock , but I cannot open the passenger doors from inside or out

Have you tried disconnecting the battery for ½ hour or so, in case a canbus module has got its knickers in a twist.

A bit like rebooting your PC when it plays up.

Just disconnect to negative terminal Big Dave2 or disconnect all together ?

One batt lead should do it.
