Hi, I’m having a problem on my 2010 1.6 Sri Astra J.
The cooling fan is running all the time, even on motorway driving, it won’t shut off.
I’ve had a diagnostic tester on and it flagged up the following code.
P0480 - Cooling Fan Relay 1 Control Circuit
So far I’ve replaced the following:
- the sensor at the bottom of the radiator
- the expansion tank (with sensor)
- the thermostat with built-in sensor
I’ve also checked the 3 relays for continuity and operation with 12v supply, and noted they all work perfectly off the car, which suggests when fitted one or more are receiving power.
I don’t have access to an electrical diagram for the cooling system, which is making further troubleshooting difficult.
Hi Guys,
I have fuel gauge which is fluctuating and some time it tells you the tank is low in fuel and sometime it is showing fuel gauge it is on ¼ tank, so I get warning sign low in fuel sometimes.
Sometimes if the tank is less than half full or even ¼ full and if you have parked half on the footpath and half on the road, after a bit it may show the tank looks empty, as soon as you drive it might go back to ¼ tanks display.
If I have my half tank and over the gauge there is no issue, as soon it drops below half or near ¼ tank then it is showing low in fuel or sometime showing normal fuel level .
I was told by the mechanic I need to take the tank off and need to replace the FUEL SENDER UNIT Part number 13272601. I don’t know if my car has the Float, which may need replacing ?
He did not check the car, but he is saying this is common for these cars for this part to go maybe due to rust or keeping the tank low in fuel.
Some said you need to change the Fuel Pump as well I don’t know if this built into the tank or it is on the Engine side.
Hey, I have a 1.4 Turbo GTC 2015. When driving it seems fine, but on the dual carriage way the other day going down to 50mph for road works uphill, then when back 70mph (still uphill) the car wasn't going anywhere, had to drop to 3rd to move it off 50ish mph.
Yesterday I was pulling off the dual carriage way and say 2nd or 3rd gear, foot down, again slightish hill, car was really slow.
When idling this morning, the revs seem ok on dash but sounded low.
There is no EML light on, plugged in and no codes whatsoever.
Hi, can anyone help me with a part number for the water pipe, It comes off the header tank, it is the lower pipe off the tank, it starts in a small rubber hose then to a metal pipe at the end of the metal pipe its then rubber again that then connects to something just above the turbo, it is the end rubber pipe that I need that connects just above the turbo to the metal pipe. 1.7cdti 2011 110hp. Thanks
Hi all, I have noticed a high pitch chirping on my astra gtc 1.6 turbo, it only happens when the engine is near normal temperature, when I accelerate it's ok, once I slightly ease off the accelerator just a bit I get this chirping noise, nothing on acceleration though.does not happen whilst idling, pressing clutch pedal or brake does not alter the noise.had belt changed but no difference, the mechanic checked everything and he is baffled.the car runs and performs as it should, there are no oil or water leaks.the noise is so annoying, it's like I have 10 birds in engine

Attempting to obtain an electrical schematic of the wiring to a 2013 Opel OPC, specifically the two front Sports Seats.
I'm in the process of transplanting a pair of front seats from a wrecked 2013 Opel OPC into a 2013 Ford Falcon FG Turbo Ute.
The Opel seats are equipped with adjustable side bolsters, airbags & possibly lumbar adjustment in the back of the seats.
Both OPC seats are intact & I also have the body side connectors to each seat, with about 6 to 8 inches of loom attached.
Using the OPC body side wiring & connectors I should be able to make a couple of adapter harnesses between the Falcon wiring & the Opel seats.
I'd prefer not to set off the airbags by connecting them incorrectly, hence the request.
If a member could point me in the right direction as to where to obtain the above information concerning the schematics, that'd be great.
I have had my VXR nearly 2 years now and i am wondering if anyone knows the previous owner as the garage i got the car from misplaced all the service history and information that was with the car.
I have now put a private plate on the car but to original plate on the car was ST13 BHD.
I have a 2013 Astra 1.4i and the EML light is constantly on, the garage has reset the light but it immediately comes back on and also gives the code P0171. also when the car starts the fan switches on straight away. I have found some info about a PCV sensor or something? I took the oil cap off and its filled with gunk. any help would be greatly appreciated.
