I'm sorely tempted to buy one! I wonder if he carries stock or if you need to wait weeks for them! to be fair I would not use most of the stuff maybe bluetooth and nav but I doubt I will have internet and all the other Android stuff

I was planning to start a new thread to help me choose either a branded headunit + fitting kit or aftermarket integrated system like this but after reading this thread it would seem this is the way to go for me.
What is the sound quality like with this unit? I don't expect audiophile quality but I would like something that sounds really nice. Would it be worth adding a decent amp + speakers to this unit too or would I just be trying to make a silk purse from a sows ear? Great thread by the way Sheppy

Cheers guys, this is a great thread to check on people like yourselves like or dislike the unit, but the likes are promising, I don't fancy chucking £500+ at the carvision one but if they were priced the same I might have gone for it for the more oem look.

Great video link there too, think I'm about sold on one of these units
I have a couple of questions though, what is the difference between the M072 and the C072? Reading up it appears that the C model has a different processor to the M - is that about it or did I miss anything more? Also I quite like the idea of having OBD, do I need to buy anything extra to enable this for either unit? The reason I ask is that I'm considering buying a Bluefin and wondered if I'd end up with 2 devices vying for use of the same port

I have sent Iceboxauto a message asking them to explain the differences between the M and C units. On their own website they are listed at a £1 difference in price whilst the ebay listing has them at a £15 difference (excluding delivery).
As I'm typing this post I received this reply from them - HI Craig, the M072 will replace the C072. The M072 is now android operating system so you can download apps on there. It also has a better processor, mirror link, built in wifi and screen resolution is better so go for the M072...... that's if you don't hate android! So it's helped me decide which to go for, hopefully it it may help somebody else too

Just normal power up, power off with the ignition. It has a vehicle class version of 4.4.4 running on it. Just be aware that not all apps can be downloaded from the play store as they not all compatible. You can side load apps like Spotify and waze from the SD card. I don't have the 3g module, just use Wifi. My car is either parked outside my lounge where the router is for updates or I just create a mobile hotspot with my Samsung S6. Thanks marcus, thats useful to know
I plan to use my iphone to broadcast wifi to the car and like you when it's parked up outside the house I'll hook up to my home wifi to download anything I need to save my data useage. Just need to decide what speakers and amp will pair up with this unit now, I get the feeling that's gonna be a pain

I guess it will come loaded with some sort of software. It comes with igo my way software which is pretty good. It has traffic built in if you have a 3g or Wifi connection. Traffic is not the Google maps navigation class though. Most gps apps from the Google store aren't compatible. Offline maps does however work. Waze will work as well if you prefer but you do need to side load it. (can't be installed from Google store) I have a paid copy of sygic for Android(phone) which I tried to side load. It didn't work too well even though I believe some other people managed to get it to work. I wasn't really in the mood/too lazy to explore it further. Google maps is not compatible. There is a handy gully which runs around the front of the instrument cluster. I hardly notice it. Update on Google maps compatability. Just installed a new custom rom on the head unit and Google maps works perfectly. Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk

@ronnie63 when ordering I'd order directly from the icebox website. When I got my reply from Rob there he told me prices are cheaper due to not having ebay/paypal costs.
